Twisted Monkey in Watford

I went for New years, drinks are ridiculously expensive, £20.50 for 2 vodka lemonades, i dont even pay that much in central london. Music and dj was good though, but it was pretty dead, and i wouldn't go back. Also my friend got covid, not that that's their fault but wouldn't have minded so much if it was a good night, it wasn't worth catching covid for that.

Perfect place if you plan to enjoy a night out :) kind staff , DJs and management …me and my friends always feel welcomed . Thanks guys:) see you next time 😉

Fantastic !!!!Pre-booked the private V.I.P booth area at twisted monkey with Mark for a 26th Birthday gathering with about 20-25 people. When I say from start to finish, the staff were very accommodating, they were!! We were greeted by Laura on arrival (such a babe!) Who helped us with everything. Cocktails are £3 till midnight for happy hour and to be fair were very strong, therefore you can imagine that everyone got pretty hammered within the first hour. The DJ plays outstanding music, the dance floor was always packed and everyone had an amazing time- even did a birthday shoutout! 😁 there is security all over the place to make sure that everything is run smoothly - but the best part Is the atmosphere. The design of the place is so different, and you get such a good feel. There is also a photographer who comes around and takes professional shots and has them uploaded onto the twisted monkey Instagram. Honestly... can't fault this place. A massive thank you to both Mark and Laura for looking after us - they are a great asset to twisted monkey and we look forward to returning ! 🙏 x

Bit pricey but great atmosphere. In a perfect location in Watford.

The service at this bar is genuinely appalling. About 6 people behind the bar, with 4/5 people waiting for drinks and still somehow I waited 45 minute. I’m sure some of the bar staff were walking backwards. All about 18 years old, not a care in the world. Worst service in the world and almost empty in there. Much better places to go in watford. AVOID

Had such a good birthday with my friends, the drinks were amazing especially the happy hour offer. Amazing place to go in the evenings if you’re looking for a place with a good DJ and nightlife

Not been for a few months…what an improvement. Now warm friendly staff all round that made us feel welcome. Great atmosphere and vibe. Would definitely recommend and return

Good music but unfortunately poorly managed bar, the manager is rude and proud of it, 40+ minute wait time for a drink only for a unsatisfactory service, no demerit to the bar staff as they are doing their best but definitely understaffed and probably underpaid too!

Terrible staff waited about 15 minutes for someone to take my order but no body came so i went to the bar to ask then someone finally took my order . Then waited another 45 minutes only for the staff to bring over the bill instead of our drinks.Awful staff but great music.

Didn’t make it in, but the experience with the bouncers outside made me not want to be. I was stood calmly waiting, to be told we wouldn’t get in l because there was no space. I asked if we could wait in case someone left, at which point the bouncer grabbed my arm and attempted to drag me away, bearing in mind I was barely even in the queue and was pretty much stood on the street. I was furious and it’s a classic example of bouncers completely overstepping the mark - they have no right to grab hold of people who are essentially stood in the street causing no problems. I will not be returning and I will be telling as many people as possible about this experience, it was out of order and it’s too common an example of how bouncers can sadly define the reputation of bars. I suggest management have a strong word, it’s not acceptable in any respect.
