Bear and Bells in Waveney

We stopped in here on the off chance they could fit us in… turned out to be the highlight of the trip. Lovely food, warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly owners, and dogs are allowed too! If we’re back in the area we’ll be back without hesitation. Thanks!

We went to this pub on the Wednesday for a meal and was so impressed with the warm welcome, the food and the service that we returned for Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed- the roast beef lunch was absolutely delicious and the service delightful! Will return again! Thank you!

We absolutely love this place, we're not local but having to visit regularly and always look forward to going here. Friendly place, fab u lous food ALWAYS, and we can take the dog too, definitely recommend this, only wish it was nearer to Bournemouth x

A classy, peaceful pub serving excellent food and well kept ales. Charming landlord & dog friendly. Oddly, we found a number of places in Beccles that weren’t keen on dogs but who cares? Go here!

We booked a table as a group of 8 people and were seated over two tables in an awkward layout which was a shame, although the dining room was welcoming and well decorated.The service was very poor and it took almost an hour for the first plates of food to arrive and then a further 15 minutes before everyone on the table was served. I understand that we were a large group but no apology was forthcoming.The food was very good with most people enjoying the Sunday roast which was well cooked and generous.Sadly the service will be what we remember from our visit - we didn't stay for dessert as we concerned that it would take too long to arrive.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal here - traditional good quality pub grub at sensible prices too. Owner, Mandy, and her parents, Nick and Sue, are very welcoming and offer great customer service. Definitely recommend paying them a visit.

Had a quick stop here for a pint,with my lady deciding she wanted a small bit to eat, and wow,so pleased we did stop here. Lovely couple running the pub with them both being really friendly and welcoming. Will try my best to come down again. Beer was great and the food was fantastic.
