A delightful selection of delicious food of the highest quality and friendly helpful staff. I can highly recommend the scotch eggs, (they really are a substantial meal), and the selection of salads.

A lovely deli - we stopped by to buy healthy salad items for lunch and weren't disappointed. They have lots of other yummy items to choose from including jams and pasta - every shape lol

·

Produce looked good however couldn't buy any as the staff were so rude. Immediately shouted at to get out the shop in a really rude and abrupt way. I wouldn't have minded so much if they actually had signs saying what the capacity they were enforcing. (There was no signs we double checked on the way out). Horrible staff then smurked and laughed as we left. the shop was hardly busy as well!! also despite this instance of terrible customer service, some of the staff weren't even wearing masks. manners and being polite cost nothing.

Fantastic selection of pies and savoury tarts, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, and a wide range of other salads and deli items. Husband said it was the best sausage roll he's ever had! My goats cheese and tomato tart with a side of carrot salad was great too.

Busy deli with great produce. Large selection of salads , cheeses, olives and much more. For the salads you choose your container size which starts with small and get progressively larger each have a set price. These are then filled with your choice of salad, hummus or taramasalata. Your choice can be a mixture of any of the salads it's up to you. Olives and anchovies sold by weight. Serviettes and wooden forks are offered if required for a picnic on the beach. We had a good mix and enjoyed it all. If you require a paper carrier bag these come at a charge of 5 pence .

The sale of Pieminster pies first attracted our attention to this place. So far from Bristol but having these available (I also found out that the Moo & blue had been (temporarily) discontinued). However they also sell some of the best Scotch Eggs - recommend the Chorizo and humongous sausage rolls - again try a few different types. The place to stock up for a beach day, or a drive home. Sorry no photos, but they were too scrummy to take pics.

For a quaint delicatessen, they have a large selection of goods and the service was warm and friendly! Looking forward to trying out our new goodies later!

Stopped by on my way home back to London for some pies to take away to eat later that night; excellent very appealing selection & friendly staff...oh & did I say the selection I chose tasted superb?! The Scotch Egg with caramelised onion & the standard pork pie were both the best I’ve ever had...& I’ve eaten all the pies in many places!!

The Black Olive Delicatessen is a great deli on Southwold High Street that stocks a fabulous and fresh selection of delicious pies, cakes, bread and salads. Lovely comforting food for a day at the beach. The best pies of Suffolk, Highly recommended!
