We stopped by on a boat looking for somewhere to eat. Pizza (which came out 15-20 minutes after our burgers, chips and onion rings) was a casserole on soggy bread in the centre with brick like crusts. Burgers were leather like and dry. Onion rings and chips scream frozen out of a supermarket packet chucked in a deep fat fryer. So if you stop for food, get some chips and onion rings and call it a day. Way over priced for the food of this quality. And certainly not a place I’ll be returning to.

Poor and slow service. Small menu with just basic pub food

The hotel and room was lovely and clean . The lady on reception was very friendly and nothing was to much for her to answer questions and help with anything. The breakfast was great even though you never had a menu to choose from they told us what was available. The only negative about our stay was the restaurant was fully booked for sat night (booking in adavance is recommended) and restaurant not open sundays for afternoon or evening meal. The staff was very friendly and lovely

Spent a lovely weekend here, we had the chart room, with a queen size bed, lovely shower, and lots of space. The staff were so friendly, and the cooked breakfasts are one of the best I've had! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, its such a pretty place, would definitely visit again.

Great food, great choices on the menu, friendly staff and good selection of drinks. The lay out was simple and lots of space and great decor.

Booked for two night in the hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. We slept badly tge walls are very thin abs we could hear our neighbouring rooms clearly in the first night we were woken a couple of times by a crying baby, the second night we were awoken at 6.00 am by a delivery lorry who unloaded very loudly then turned the engine on with music loudly playing at 06.36 (I looked at my watch 😳) and sat for 10 minutes before driving away we couldn’t get back to sleep. The restaurant wasn’t open during our stay in the evening however we did have breakfast included in our stay. Whilst again the restaurant was spotless the service wasn’t great and the food was barely warm - great location, spotlessly clean but we won’t be returning

We stayed in one of the lodges for a week, winter off season so the pub was open 3 days that week, we popped in the first day it opened that week and was greeted by the chef and was made a lovely full English breakfast, he was very nice to talk to as we talked about the food, the full English was very well presented and tasted lovely, was not greasy at all. We then popped in again that day for dinner which we booked, the staff are extremely friendly and polite and very attentive and can't do enough for you. The pub has a good amount of tables and is very clean with a fresh look and feel to it, the food is very good quality and is cooked just right, the prices are pretty reasonable as well as their drinks, they had a winter menu when we went which was just the right size. The portion sizes of their food are very generous, I would highly recommend this place for their food and lovely friendly atmosphere. We went back again for breakfast and dinner for the last two days to try other dishes on their menu and just couldn't fault it, they also ask if you have any dietary requirements as well. If your have a starter I can highly recommend the halloumi fries in a crispy batter with sweet chilli sauce, extremely addictive! people should support this place as it's a little gem.

The hotel was spotless everywhere sadly the walls are very thin so we could clearly hear guests in the neighbouring rooms. On the first night we were woken up by a baby crying during the night then very early morning. On the second night we were awoken at 0600 by a very noisy delivery lorry who unloaded loudly then at 0636 (I looked at my watch 😳) switched the engine on playing loud music and sat right outside our window for 10 minutes before driving off, we could not get back to sleep. The restaurant was not open in the evenings but breakfast was included in our stay. The restaurant was absolutely spotless, unfortunately the service was below average and on both days the breakfast was barely warm which was a disappointment. We did not complain as there wasn’t anybody around. The hotel is in a fabulous location and extremely clean but we will not be returning

Pub food needs improvement. Burgers overcooked, cheesecake still half frozen, curry tastes like a microwave meal (twice the price of weatherspoons & nowhere near as tasty!). Two stars for the steaks which were fine but at £20+ they should be! Overall Lacklustre. Has real potential as it is in a beautiful location, but at present the kitchen fails to deliver a basic british pub menu. If you're gonna put it on the menu, make it from scratch, not in the microwave.
