Lounge India in Waveney

Really good food, but the service in the restaurant is far too slow. I've used this restaurant a number of times, and often have been left waiting for an hour or more for dishes to arrive. Takeaway orders seem to fly out of the kitchen regularly, whilst those dining in are left waiting. It's such a shame.

Thought we would try Lounge India after it was highly recommended. We arrived for a booking at 19:30. Didn’t see food until 20:50. There was only a few other tables in the restaurant so they weren’t being slow because they were busy. Food finally arrived and it wasn’t worth the wait. We hardly ate anything in the end. If you’re looking for nicer food, better atmosphere and less of a wait then go to Spice Den.

We booked a table for my husbands birthday in the hope we would have a quite dinner out together. Unfortunately there was a table of 20 youngsters booked in who who extremely loud drunk and using foul language making it impossible for us to hold a conversation. Unfortunately we had to ask for our meal to be packed up as a takeaway which spoilt our evening somewhat.I understand that it's impossible for the staff to control customers and their behaviour but it's a shame that large parties cannot be placed in a separate area.Otherwise i have no complaints about the food it was a very good meal.

Where do I start. We went there with a group of arround 20 people. Not a very busy night. We got there arround 19:30, waited 15 minutes for our drinks and then arround 22:00 we got our food. Yes, a 2 hour wait. They were like 8 other people in the restaurant. When we finally got the food I wasn't very pleased. It was basic, and covered in sauce. The rice was the only good thing and 1 nice staff member. When we got the bill alot of other stuff went wrong. Will not go here again!

Excellent Indian cuisine. Not British Indian Restaurant style, far more traditional home cooked. Excellent taste, well spiced without too much heat. Good texture and portion size. Would use again.

We requested a table for 4 and a polite staff member allotted a table and we were provided copies of the menu. The restaurant had about 30% occupancy at this point of time. While we were deciding what to order, another waiter came by and asked us to move to a different table. We were a bit taken aback, but we were then asked how long we'd take to finish a dinner that hadn't started yet.We decided to leave the restaurant..... couldn't rate it lower...

Had a table booked for 7.30pm on a Friday night. Was a big table booking but we had to ask for our order to be taken after waiting a while. The food finally came out at 9.40pm food was ok not the best I've had. I feel they prioritise take away orders then people in the restaurant. Because the restaurant was not that busy .I've heard from friends before the waiting time on food is crazy they wasn't wrong. Won't be returning due to this.

Worst ever experience...We were offered a table and when ready to place the order, waiter asked us to change to another table as this was reserved and given by mistake. And he then asked how long will you take to finish your dinner as their guests may arrive anytime soon.I then said we will go to the restaurant nearby and stood up and the waiter dint bother to even apologise to us .we then went to SPICE DEN just next to this which was 100 times better service, and quality than this...Never had an experience like this in our life time

Ordered (two!) take aways from this restaurant whilst on a break in Kessingland. The food was of a very high standard and very authentic. The choice of dishes were refreshingly different, with reference to Kenyan dishes. The food arrived hot, fresh and full of flavour. The portion sizes were very generous and very reasonably priced. The service was fast and the delivery woman was so lovely and helpful. Will definitely be using/visiting Lounge India on future trips to Kessingland
