One of the latest addition to the food landscape of Southwold and a great one, too. They offer light meals and snacks that are of high quality. They cater for GF and vegan diet.We have had the Leek and potato soup which was absolutely delicious. For pudding the GF almond and orange cake which was moist and delicious. The chocolate brownie was equally delicious.Coffee is nice and mild. The service is superb.Highly recommended.

Great lunch, delicious “Shak’shuka & haddock gratin, great coffee, dairy free and vegan options, and dog friendly

Felt very welcoming, we had a buggy and young child but the staff we're very helpful and accomodating. Loads of nice looking dishes on the menu and the ones we chose were delicious! Especially the bread and butter pudding

Cafe 51 has a great breakfast menu - and an apparently great daytime menu, although I didn’t try that. The breakfast however was second to none, and even better, the place was open at an early hour at the beginning of my cycling day. Tasty wholesome food, and at a reasonable price. Thoroughly recommended.

Booked into Cafe 51 with 12 of my friends for afternoon tea, one of which has very strict dietary requirements. I cannot rate the quality of food or service highly enough. Absolutely superb. Thank you so much Sam and your team, you made our day!

Very small cafe. Not enough room to move easily with a disability. Was seated straight away and had the menu thrown at me whilst waiting.Upon arrival the staff seemed nice. I ordered a latte and poached egg on toast.Received a flat white instead of a latte. As I went to say something, the staff member stormed off.Poached egg on toast was OK. Bread very soggy with water. Crust on bread too hard to eat in places. They quickly took my plate away before I'd finished properly. Sat waiting for 15 minutes to pay the bill. No staff around to ask. They sorted other people and ignored me. Went up to the counter in the end and the staff said "well we have issues so just wait and we will get to you eventually."Very poor customer service skills displayed today.

Nice staff, especially the younger members of staff, menu is good with plenty of choice - ( it's not just filled up with your usual ) it was pretty busy when we went and I think that they were just about coping. I'd eaten my food by the time my milkshake arrived and my daughter's food arrived. That said the food was good and the staff stayed pleasant. I would go back, but maybe when it was a little quieter.

Loved the look of the place and the breakfast was OK however the portion size was just tiny for me, good coffee though and lovely courtyard. Wouldn't go back or recommend though I am afraid.

We have just spent a week near Southwold and visited this cafe almost every day. The food and service was excellent and they were very friendly and helpful and very welcoming to Max our dog. I would recommend anyone to try this cafe especially dog.
