Pex Fish and Chips in Waveney

Chunky well cooked chips, not too greasy. Quick service, good range, clean premises, reasonable prices. All good!

Worst fish and chips I've ever had. Horrendous. Avoid.

I order from Pex every Friday, I always ring through my order as there is a lot of us, my food is always ready to collect, pipping hot and correct ( which a lot of take always get wrong ) everything is fresh and cooked perfectly, the staff are lovely always chatty and I always walk out with a smile on my face !! Chippy Friday is my favourite day of the week keep up the good work guys ☺️

Worst fish and chips experience I have ever had. The batter was terrible, the fish was tooo watery and the chips tasted old. Also, the oil they cook the fish in is very bitter.Absolutely wouldn't reccomend, hopefully there is another fish and chips around Bungay otherwise I'd have to travel.If you're near this fish and chips, I would suggest a delicious chinese next door.

Popped over at lunch time for a fish and chips. Absolutely terrible, small portion, extra thick batter and not worth the money.

Fish was a good portion but the batter was poor, greasy and overcooked. The fish was also full of bones. Chips, sausages and curry sauce were great

Very small portions of both fish and chips, like a lunchtime portion served at dinner time.Fish was particularly surprising, ordered large cod and got around a third of an average fish portion at about a pound more than the average price. Shame really.

Here on holiday for a week. Possibly the worst fish & chips I’ve ever had. The reviews on here must be friends or family.The only reason I knew it was fish was by the shape of it. Batter soaked with fat and fish inside was watery.The chips were actually vile, soggy and left a layer of grease on your lips that could only be wiped off with a wet wipe. The taste of the chips was like nothing I’d ever experienced and don’t want to ever again.If you served this up in London, you’d shut within 3 months.Had to give it 1 star to be able to leave a review, I would give it 0 if I could.

My favourite fish and chip shop ever.. I very often go here even though it's 20miles from my home. I can however only comment on the sausages! As these are all I've had. Definitely worth a try if you never had. Sausages are big and meaty and either battered or un-battered. My recommendation would be to try both as both are quite different

The kind of chippy where they serve the locals first and ignore strangers in the queue for as long as possible...or maybe that's going to be every local business around Bungay, we'll see! Chips were great when I finally got them (the 1 star is for the chips), but they really need to learn how to de-bone cod properly and drain the fat better before wrapping them up.
