Fabulous location overlooking the river in a nice little town.Meals are served overlooking the river so you can watch the boats go by. The food was lovely and had a good selection of gins mostly Adnams 🍸Rooms are very nice, tilt a little, felt like I was falling out of bed. My only bug bear was we had a Z bed and was charged £25 for it to be put in the room and not told of the extra cost!Breakfast was lovely, great choice on offer, only disappointment was the poached eggs were more like boiled eggs so would recommend the scrambled 🍳Otherwise a great choice for a family catch up at a great price for a great location.Lovely little find, will hopefully return!

It was ok. The coffee was nice, even the beer, but we wanted to order for a lunch, asked the girl to say somebody, we waited have an hour and nobody came and it was in that time not busy. A pity, but I will be back for a coffee because the place is wonderful along the water. Excuse for my English but I try.

Second time here within a few weeks and for a good reason. Lisa is amazing, the pork belly is amazing (if it’s on the specials menu). The rooms are well kitted out and such good value for money. Breakfast, two words. Eggs Benedict!!! Trust me they are amazing. One of my favourite places to visit the Suffolk coast as a base

Absolutely stunning stay, Lisa the manager goes above and beyond for guests, I organised my mother in laws intimate wedding here and it was flawless, the food, the rooms, the staff. Breakfast is amazing … never fails to impress! Thank you to all at the Waveney, we cannot wait to return!

Went here for a meal with friends before Christmas. It was a rainy, dark night so couldn't see much of the outside space. The food was reasonably cooked and plentiful with an adequate choice on the menu.
