Ship Inn in Waveney

A lovely surprise to have such a great pub on our doorstep. The beer was the right temperature, the Malbec superb and the food top notch. The service is friendly, discreet and professional. The decor is a great mix of new and traditional. It's one of the cleanest pubs I've been in...can't fault it. We shall return.

Meals are 6 until 9.pm.Wednesday to Saturday.Fabulous menu. GF. every accompaniment understood.Sunday Roast 12 until 4pm.So clean.Amazing Lady, children facilities.XSuper and a child friendly play area.Also immaculate.

This place is brilliant.The food here is on a different level. If you want something that's a little bit special then order from the tapas menu.The pub is nice and the staff were well trained and friendly.

Lovely meal today. Had the chicken roast everything delicious except the roast potatoes. It seemed as though they were roasted then fried in a vat of oil.

Nice quality laminate flooring, a real must visit if you like sturdy flooring when walking around.

Held our birthday party here. Chose the ship because the ladies toilets are lovely and clean. We had the room at the back, lovely room but it was being used as a cut through for none party goers , land lord had said that a sign would state private party but it never appeared.We had a few teething problems at the start of the evening , mis communication concerning lay out. Even though we had a disco, main lights did not get turned of. In the end the landlord agreed that if we kept lamps on we could have main lights off, which was a bit better, we could then see the disco lights better.We wanted ventilation as the room as we became too hot, we opened the door, landlord advised us we could do this because of neighbours complaints. This is something to factor in if you hire the room in the hot months.A man appeared clearing glasses , he was very efficient but had a tramp like appearance and smell, this was rather unpleasant when he lent over you.The pub did let us have our own food delivered and supported us with this.The bar staff were very efficient, also polite, lovely young ladies.All in all though we had a lovely night.

Lovely meal ....staff very good ...could do with a couple more beer choices..lovely evening there ..

Fiance wanted to watch the Chelsea game so we wanted somewhere close to where we were staying at my parents so we could walk. Never been here before and I can honestly say what a lovely experience it has been. Food was amazing, big portion sizes and very tasty. Staff here were so friendly and welcoming and it was nice to learn from the landlord what his history is. Would highly recommend this lovely family run pub.

Enjoyed the pub! Went for Sunday pork roast and enjoyed it! The meat was the stand out and fantastic. Really rather good. All other trimmings were nice and with a bit more more refinement could be a truly great Sunday roast.
