Shoeme Balti in Waveney

We decided to try this place while on holiday locally. All 3 of us had different dishes and all agreed it was absolutely delicious. Polished it all off. Excellent.

Placed a large order worth £150 and was a little concerned that they hadn’t got all the details so we rang back and confirmed cost and timescale (1 1/2 hours!). We chased after the agreed time and were told 4 mins and then after 15 mins chased again each time being told the driver was on the way and looking for us.Eventually after feeling we had been met down and 30 minutes after 3 min advice food turned up. Although we were missing one dish this was delivered very quickly and the food was very good albeit a little cold, nothing a microwave couldn’t sort.

Delivery took 2 hours and sadly food pretty disappointing, gloupy, illuminous and not tasty. Definitely wish we had tried somewhere else, however not a lot of delivery options in the area.

Disappointing after a promising first order a few weeks ago we ordered from Shoeme for the second time tonight and the wife and I both threw our curries in the bin. The first time we ordered the food was nice, but tonight the chicken was slimy and the lamb was rubbery. Either we got very lucky with the first order (we ordered different things last time) or they're very inconsistent, either way we won't be ordering from their again - stick to the Chinese - they've been excellent every time

Avoid.I didn't go for the curries, based on other's reviews (sounds like they use a generic base sauce, and not a very good one), and opted for tandoori, as it's difficult to mess that up. Wrong.The tandoori king prawns were bright red with food colouring but next to zero spices on them. They were very bland.The tandoori chicken tikka was also bright red with food colouring and also next to zero spices on them. Bland and rubbery.The lime pickle was the only thing half-decent but that probably came out of a jar. Oh, and it was mixed pickle, not just lime pickle, so still disappointing as I asked for lime pickle.I know the average UK curry house is pretty lacklustre, but this is a really bad one.

Absolutely disgusting! Me and my boyfriend just tried this place for the first time and could barely eat it. Full of oil and no taste. First time I have ever reviewed somewhere and made this account just so I could say how awful it was. I would defiantly not recommend ordering from here!

Me and a friend used this indian last Tuesday and it was very nice and filling! We rang ahead and was given a time and sure enough if was ready. Staff were friendly to. My gran and grandad use this takeaway once a week and are always pleased.
