Sole Bay Fish Company in Waveney

It's the type of place where you constantly look at other tables to see what they've ordered, so that next time you can try more of the menu! Everyone else's food looked just as good as ours. It was a really good menu, and specials, but we opted for a platter. Friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, and the decor is great - so much to look at!

Brilliant location, delicious food and decent customer service. Amazing range of fish and very generous portions. It was also nice to have a bottle of local beer with our food.

A highlight of our visit to Southwold. Staff were increadibly welcoming and the seafood tasted great! Would highly recommend if you like your shellfish platters.

Had fish cake and chips. Amazing lovely place and friendly staff. Also brought 2 dressed crabs from fish counter best I've ever tasted.

Difficult to find seafood restaurant in England. It's a nice little find, enjoyed our meal, nice fresh seafood platter and great to see the fishmonger in the entrance.

This is a such a quirky restaurant. In the fishing harbour it looks like a little wooden shack but it is a hidden gem with beautiful dining space with fish tanks. We had two fish platters which were delicious. We went as a family with dogs and were made to feel very welcome even though all other diners were adults. Be aware the toilets are quite basic and in a separate block. All in all a lovely meal and reasonable price.

Absolutely lovely. A must try if you're a seafood lover. Daily specials, smallish wine and beer list. Not much in the cocktail department either, but once you start eating, all is forgotten. Wonderful service and superfriendly staff.

A great place to sit and eat your fish and chips on a sunny day :-) and as the photos show it's a busy venue, You order your meals and they take your table name - nice touch that it's wine related, not numbers lol.You can sit and watch the boats while you wait - it's table service - and the people who wander by. A lovely chilled vide and well worth a visit.

The Sole Bay Fish Company sells fresh fish, fish and chips and a restaurant at the back of the fresh fish shop. We ate fish and chips outside their shops, along with some Oysters. There were ample chips (more than enough) and fillet of plaice. All very nice.As well as the oysters, there are crab, scallops and other shell fish.For those in need, there is s loo on the premises.

Fish doesn’t come any fresher than this. Deep fried oysters were sublime. You can't book a table so be prepared to queue at peak times in the summer months. A wide selection of wet fish for sale as well. Not especially cheap but worth every penny
