Very friendly staff and food was good

Authentic, flavours and service were almost exactly as expected. I am used to receiving hot towel and after eights but other than that i have no complaints whatsoever.

So we phoned to book a table..they answered phone just said yes...didnt even bother taking name or time...should have been a sign!! We arrived to have a table pointed out to us across the restaurant. The waiter took our order without so much as a greeting nor smile. We had poppadoms to start...which he brought over...leaning and breathing across us with no idea of personal space. We waited for an hour...still no sign of main course ..although any deliveries or collections were attended to immediately. We were totally ignored. In the end I went over to quietly ask about our food. The grubby looking chef came out of the grubby looking kitchen....not sure what was grubber to be honest! He just said food is ready....to which the waiter grabbed a few dishes and dumped in front of us...once more with bad customer service. No apology ..nothing. They sent two half size nan bread..we had ordered one whole one! The king prawn madras was shrimps in a greasy grotesque looking sauce. The chicken biryani was some off colour looking sludge of a sauce...with a bit of chicken shoved in it. My dogs would have produced something much better in the garden!!! Needless to say we paid for starters and drink..didnt even receive an apology...and swiftly departed...as did the table of 8 sitting opposite!! So all in all a terrible experience at the Spice of Balti.

Food could have been warmer. At about 9.15 having finished our food we were handed the bill (no, would you like a dessert or would you like another drink) and hassled out of the restaurant.

Our experience here was not great. The food was nice although 3 meals weren't terribly hot.The waiter wasn't very friendly & forgot our food & drinks order twice.The dip containers had dip up one side as if the previous diners had used them .Two plates were removed before the rest of us had finished eating. Then the waiter hovered behind us several times checking if we had finished. The hot towels were brought before we had finished so were cool when we attempted to open them. He attempt to remove the last plate while my sister paused for a drink. That was the last straw,we asked for our bill. Needless to say we didn't include a tip & will not return.

Waited over 1hr for a delivery when it should have arrived in 40mins. Rang restaurant to be told 'it will be delivered in 10mins or you cancel if you want'. Thought we would wait another 10mins as we had a hungry child. Rang again after 15mins to cancel as still nothing had arrived only to be told to "f*** off" at the end of the call. Make your own mind up if you want to be patrons here. P.S. we are Asians ourselves and the rudeness and ignorance does not represent us.

Terrible service felt like they didn't want us there, no one came to ask if food was ok, or do we want anything more! Had to go and ask for the bill whilst waiter was watching a film on full volume on his phone. Will not be returning! Maybe that's why we were the only table in the place

We love the food from this restaurant. Ever since lock down my wife moans about our local Indian takeaways. We now drive 15 miles to Bungay for the Spice of Balti. A happy wife is a happy life!! Thank you, Spice of Balti.29th November 2020(PS even our Sausage dog and parott love the shiek kebab)

I have come here all my life and could not fault the food and service. I would say the decor needs updating, and I've never been fond of the desserts. However going for a casual dinner or takeaway is perfect. Usually come here with all my family to share poppadoms and curries etc.

Décor was like a greasy spoon café and bland as was the foodThe service was rushed and harsh until we wanted to pay the bill and the waiter had decided he was going to have his meal first before taking our payment.I will say the portions were large but just tasteless and no real flavour.We would defiantly not go there again.
