The Joseph Conrad in Waveney

Large house spread over 2 floors with friendly staff and usual broad range of food and drink. Disapointed the lift is not functioning so can't go upstairs to look around. Disabled toilet is not great either.

Visited this Wetherspoon pub whilst we were staying in Lowestoft, we sat upstairs and used the app to order our food and drinks .The food was great and the service was brilliant, we had a nice lady called Rachel that brought what we ordered to our table with a smile, she was constantly busy, if not serving behind the bar or serving food and drink at tables she was clearing away plates and glasses and generally keeping the seating area tidy and a pleasant place to be.Thank you Wetherspoons and a big thank you to Rachel, an asset to your team.

Called to see if the takeaway option was still available and was told orders needed to be made in person, at the bar.Ok, drove into town, stood at the bar to order and was told that no take-away boxes were available so they couldn't take the order.That piece of information would have been handy during the phone call......

All ok, good food, good price but on New Year Day we were sitting on a top floor and only one person was serving all floor. He was great and managed with everything being nice and calm at once. Employee of the year. Well done green t shirt mam with beard. Happy new year.

This is situated at the bottom of town before you cross the bridge to South Lowestoft .The tall lady with a pony tail was very smiley today and fast at clearing tables.The man serving didn't take the order with any courtesies, but he may have been nervous possibly.The restaurant was clean and lovely to see the fire going .

Located opposite Lowestoft Central rail station and near South Beach, the Joseph Conrad is ideally situated for visitors.There are two large floors inside and plenty of wooden tables outside, some under cover.I find the service pretty fast and friendly and ordering via the Spoons app is quick and easy.The venue is large enough to make social distancing fairly stress free.

Honestly I went in to have an orange juice and some breakfast cus subway was closed. decided to have wraps instead and jesus they were nice highly recommend

Food was really nice, staff are lovely always check back and was really nice. There's nothing wrong with the food here. It's lovely Jackie and Ashton we're really nice. There's nothing wrong with Joseph conrad what's so ever.

My husband and I went their yesterday, the staff are really good, but the food which is a lot more expensive than allthe Whetherspoons in Norwich, was very disappointing. I had Burger and chips, both were not very hot at all and considering it was about 4pm and not rush hour, they could have made a better effort.Did like the building though, and the atmosphere was good.

Whetherspoons always seem to attract bad press. I don't know why. They serve good beer and food at good prices. I liked this one due to the bar upstairs. Being an outsider I felt very comfortable in the bar. The staff were polite and hard working. There was the option to sit outside. I gave that a miss due to the wind. The real ale and curry I had were very good. I will revisit if I am in Lowestoft.
