“A Gem, Best Tea Rooms in UK”Fantastic chef and super welcoming staff. Travelling up from London to a meeting I stumbled upon the Old Bank tea rooms in Bungay where I went for afternoon tea. - I was hungry, £17 for a tower of tasty fresh to the plate food and had the most amazing experience from all the tearooms unique surroundings without having to buy an entry ticket.Anyone who makes the effort to visit won’t be disappointed, I’ll be back as Arnie would say! Can’t wait to be back too!!!

Mothering Sunday Afternoon tea. Oh WOW the cakes, the scone just everything was lovely and delicious. This vintage tea rooms are a great place. To visit. The staff are so friendly x

I attended a baby shower here a few weeks ago, for my niece.There were about 20 of us, but there should have been 5 more.Unfortunately, this tea room is not equipped to do such functions.The staff took our orders when we had all arrived. The drinks took an hour to come out and the food did not start coming out until 2 hours after. I was on the last table to receive the food which was two hours and twenty minutes!The lady who had organised the shower had asked the manager, several times, in the lead up, if we could pre-order to make it easier, but the manager did not want to do this.Unfortunately, it all ended a bit unhappily. The manager was very defensive and failed to take ownership of the problems.The kitchen is very small and I was amazed that all visitors walk through it, to use the toilet!I am sure this tea room is fine for just a few visitors at a time, but not for large groups.

God, I love this place! Whenever I'm going through Bungay I try to pop in to the Old Bank Tearoom for a delicious brew, a sandwich and a scone – they're to die for, especially with lashings of clotted cream. The decor is quirky and the staff couldn't do more to make you feel welcome. And, if you play your cards right, you get a peek in the old vault.I've promised the owner that next time I'm in I'll try her delicious soup – she may remember me as the soooop lady (!) – so I will definitely be back. It looked delish.Until then, 10 out of 10 and keep up the good work!

We attended a baby shower at The Old Bank Tear Room, the venue it self is lovely and really well decorated with a warm feeling inside.The baby shower had 19 guests in total and unfortunately despite cakes being pre-made and also the scones we waited for over 2 hours to be served the afternoon tea. We did offer to pre-order and also to help in anyway to ensure smooth running of the baby shower but unfortunately it all went a little wrong. When raised with the owner the response was very defensive with no apology until it had been pointed out they had not even apologised.Unfortunately with such a small food preparation area (which we only found out whilst walk through the kitchen to the toilet) the venue is just not able to host such big parties where food is served at around the same time. The sandwiches which were served unfortunately had gone hard and a hair was in the middle of the sandwich also, really sad as we had high hopes for such a pretty venue.We were compensated for the bad experience and the venue is lovely so this is why we have given 3 stars, just not a great response from the actual owner as we were originally just passing on feedback.

The Old Bank is absolutely fabulous. Their gluten free cheese scones are so delicious. My family treated my Mum to afternoon tea in the Bank Managers office for her birthday and it was wonderful. They decorated the room with bunting, flowers and balloons and the service was absolutely brilliant. We were all really looked after so well and Mum absolutely loved it. The pots of tea just kept coming and everything was so beautifully presented. Would highly recommend this jewel in Bungay 💖🍰☕

Received a gift voucher for afternoon tea for two, it was delicious. Its a lovely place and the staff are very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
