Food was tasteless and some dishes not cooked enough (pork Loin)We dine out often and this has to be the worst meal we have had in a very long time. Shame it ruined a special family gathering.Don't bother visiting.

It was fairly quiet and close to end of ordering time for food, but the staff were very pleasant and our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The menu was varied and unpretentious. I asked about a couple of items on the menu and the waitress responded positively. We eventually ordered our meal, as we were busy catching up with other family members! I had 'a smaller appetite' chicken goujons with a fried chicken style coating, which was very nice, with thick cut chips and peas, my husband had a Cider Pork and Leek Pie, again with chips and peas, which he thoroughly enjoyed, even to the point of scraping the pastry from around the edge of the dish! The other family members had a HUGE burger with chips etc and Chilli con carne with rice and salad, which they both enjoyed very much. The service was quick and we never felt rushed at all. We shall return soon as we enjoyed the food and ambience of The Plough very much!

Great place to stay, comfortable spacious rooms. Excellent food and superb staff. And very good value for money. Oh, and of course there's the Adnams beer!

·

Delicious food and outstanding service. Staff so polite and obliging. Thank you. The sea bass in prawn and white wine sauce was divine.

Nicely decorated and lovely and warm pub. Staff friendly and helpful. Beer Adnams and kept well. Basic pub food with mains £13.00 -+ we had stir fry noodles with veg £13.00 add prawns£2.00 extra. Hot food but very bland taste also steak and ale pie £14.50 on specials board. Nice enough but in a dish with pastry on top , so not really a pie, very runny contents. Mash was delicious.

This place is lovely, the staff were very attentive and the rooms were very clean. We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary and were very impressed! My only criticism is the bed, I would have given it 5 stars but for me personally I didn't sleep well. The room is so big it could easily have fitted a bigger bed.The food was so good and a great selection of adnams ale! Breakfast was delicious. We will come back for sure!

Over night stay. Fabulous beautiful tranquil location. Restaurant food was lovely. Husband who's fussy enjoyed the soup of the day which was i believe cauliflower with truffle. Mine was the goats cheese with beetroot. Sublime!Followed by fish n chips, the duck dish. Beautifully presented. Room is very spacious and clean. The bath and double shower amazing. Very good price.

Over night stay - large clean courtyard room with everything you need. Dinner was delicious (confit duck with fondant potatoes, red cabbage and orange sauce/liver and bacon with veg and extra veg/cheeseboard/raspberry Bakewell) It's the Rona, so they're understaffed... But the staff that are here are doing an amazing job - friendly, calm and good humoured.
