The Sail Loft in Waveney

Absolutely disgusted at 5pm was walking dogs and wanted to stop for a drink in the garden. Only 3 or 4 tables busy outside very quiet inside asked if I could order a round of drinks to sit outside bar attendee asked what we wanted but a male member of staff then said he couldn’t accommodate us as he was preparing for tonight and has over 100 guests and no glasses to serve us drinks. Unreal and bitterly disappointed as on holiday for my daughters 40th birthday. I politely asked if he didn’t want our business! After all what’s happened in the last two years I would have thought they would welcome customers, old and new. Was looking to book a meal tomorrow as the menu looked great. Shame they are so short sighted and unwelcoming.

Although I haven’t stayed here, the food is excellent! Well priced, good portions & good variety on the menu. Staff always seems helpful & attentive. Good selection of beverages at the bar. Just has that good vibe feeling inside. 👍🏻

Service was good although did feel that we were rushed in and out. Table booked for 7.15 both course done and out within one hour. Food was OK, felt kitchen staff could have been a little bit more discreet. We could hear everything that was going and their language was not always pleasant. The waiting staff did apologise for this. Luckily we are not easily offended but did feel it was unacceptable.

Fantastic service, food and the staff were very friendly. Fantastic setting with great decor. Party of 33 people were catered for without a problem, any questions were answered without hesitation. Thank you very much to all the staff

What an excellent venue, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, great selection of hot and cold drinks and the food is superb. Staff are really good too, friendly, informative and made our two visits yesterday very welcoming. 10/10

Good food and portions. Thia curry and Katsu chicken home made with real spices. Packed in summer so probs need to book. Nice vibe and facilities.

We had a lovely meal here, the service was excellent and all the staff were super friendly. There is parking outside and easy access into the building. There weren't too many people there when we went but during the Easter and Summer holidays it can get really busy so make sure you book in advanced for indoor seating. Outdoor seating works on a first come first serve basis and can't be booked. Overall a great experience and we will be going again.

Fabulous pub with superb & imaginative veggie and vegan options! So nice to have lots of choices. Visited twice in the last few days & both times excellent food and first class service.Can’t recommend highly enough. Hope to visit again soon.

I wish I could say I've had a meal in the Sail Loft because all the plates going past me looked amazing (I've talked my missus into a meal before our holiday is over) but I can't.My 6 year old daughter is a type 1 diabetic and was caught short on the beach; things can go from 0 to 100 in a minute if her blood sugar is high. The staff let me take her inside to use the facilities despite not ordering a meal. It's reassuring to know that there are still good people in the world, especially with things the way they have been for the last 16 months or so.The staff are a credit to the Sail Loft and definitely make me want to come back, albeit under less frantic circumstances - and those burgers look amazing!

We stopped here for lunch and had four delicious burgers ( one veggie) and a bowl of chunky chips.Service was excellent, very fast and friendly. Food was perfectly cooked and served hot, portions not too large, just right really.We sat outside as weather was good. Prices were very reasonable as well. Would definitely recommend.
