Twyfords in Waveney

Nice Café! staff have always been friendly, coffee and cakes are lovely. I have visited with my parents every time i visit the country but the price increase this time have made that the last time unfortunately. We cannot justify £3.70 for a small cup of coffee, i usually have a mug but not at an extra 90p! One price hike too far...

Good points:Lovely interior design (the cafe building was once a clothes shop, and much of the decor nods to this).Menu has a good range of sweet and savoury.Less good points:Expensive for what it is.Intrusive banging bass from music that doesn't add anything to the atmosphere.Indifferent service.Summary:With a little thought and recalibration, this could be a great cafe.

Very rude and dismissive staff today. (Saturday afternoon) the two blonde girls at the front of the cafe ignored us for ages and then told us to hurry up at 4pm as closing at 5pm. I felt embarrassed as had told my daughter in-law how nice 'Twyfords' was! Very abrupt responses from the waitresses. Left feeling upset and the jacket potato which is a simple dish not good at all. Do not want to return.I think more training is in order or happier staff employed.

This is a wonderful cake shop with a wide variety of delicious confections. The restaurant section is safely laid out and the menu offers a splendid selection of meals, breakfasts are especially good. This is the goto place in Beccles.

Back again, tourist season is over, but the garden in the back still has wonderful birdsong!

Superb café with a lovely secluded garden area at the rear. We had a cooked breakfast there (see photo) which was superbly cooked and with excellent ingredients. Very meaty sausage. Very tasty bacon. The fried bread in particular was crispy and not at all greasy. Very friendly staff. Very relaxing. Great place all round.

Twyfords is a lovely cafe - the service was good and so was our food.My fish fingers weren’t seasoned but sadly that’s standard when fish is battered.I also think serving anything on a slate is silly - I couldn’t eat my delicious salad very easily, hence the four stars.

My family and I had a breakfast here, the staff are very friendly and the setting is very nice. We sat in the garden which is very well maintained.The breakfast was brillaint my wife and kids had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup (pictured) and I had a full English both had no complaints from us. Would visit again maybe for dinner because that looked promising but I can't comment and we didn't get a chance to try before we left our holidays.

Absolutely amazing place! Would visit again in a heartbeat!The staff were very polite and very attentive to mine and my families needs. Really pleasant atmosphere in the café area and the food was just perfect for a hot summers day.Compliments too all the workers and I can't wait to come back!
