Arts Brasserie in Welwyn Hatfield

The place is nice. It's beauty attracted me and my friend. We went in, took a while for someone to come to greet us. I told the gentleman that we are going to sit outside to enjoy the lovely weather too. We waited a while, no one came to take our order. I had to stand up and go inside. Again waited for a while till someone came to write down our order. The restaurant wasn't busy. I'm very understandable when is busy, I have the patience to wait, but when is not, the customer feels ignored and is not good at all for the restaurant's image. The food was good, can't complain, but the soup pot was was dirty outside, didn't look good at all. I still give 5 stars, don't want to influence negatively the rating, maybe was one of those days... I don't think I'd go again.

Very disappointed, asked for half shot coffee as I do not like stong coffee but I got the full 2 shots. I asked if this could be rectified. It was very clear all they did was pour some out and add extra water, no froth on the top - I could have made that at home. I didn't drink this but was not asked why and was given bill for the full price. As it was a mother's day gift with my daughters I didn't complain at the time but was very disappointed with cote.

Great choice of dishes including a separate vegetarian and vegan menu.Dairy free options for hot drinks was a bonus.The best meal out I've had in a long time.Reasonably priced for top quality food.Great service and friendly staff.Large seating area and very comfortable.

I spotted the restaurant whist parking near to my hotel, it looked very nicely laid out, stylish and clean. On entering, there was a lovely comfortable atmosphere, the staff were very pleasant and welcoming, the menu had a good range, I could have picked any of the dishes, they all appealed, my food was excellent, very well presented and tasty, nice flavour combinations and portion size. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, thank you 😊

Lilly was our waitress and went above and beyond to make my sisters birthday special. The french toast was delightful and came out very fast. The chef was very accommodating and made sure we had a lovely time. Will be sure to visit again soon

Food in general is good but pricey, however I was extremely disappointed with not being able to pay by cash. This is not advertised when you back bookings nor when you walk in, neither are you told about this upon being seen to and seated. Covid-19 was the excuse given which is a load of rubbish. Anywhere you go, you can easily pay by cash. I work retail, and even in the small period we stopped taking cash, we actually advertised that through posters on the building.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. The small fried fish starter ?whitebait was lovely. Beautiful batter, light and crunchy, fish inside was soft and fresh. Best vegan burger I have eaten in some time & partner also really enjoyed his steak and peppercorn sauce. Chocolate mousse was yummy too. Fab service, friendly team. Will be back for sure.Also stopped off here for breakfast. Best brunch we have had in a while. Simple ingredients cooked beautifully. Thank you.

We ate here Saturday lunchtime, and it was pretty full. Good news for them, the only thing was the noise levels were so high, we couldn't hear the staff, or ourselves. Otherwise, the service was great, and the food was delicious. It was also served quickly, which helps if you have limited parking time. We'd always come back here, but probably a quieter time, for a more peaceful meal. That's just our personal preference, the other diners seemed to enjoy themselves, regardless of the volume!

We had the most wonderful experience here. The food was outstanding and the service was brilliant. I really enjoyed the praline and banana crepe and the Rhubarb Martini 😍I was also very impressed that when we asked for wine recommendations our lovely server was able to recommend wines based on the dish we’d be eating.We will definitely be returning!
