I had a wonderful evening with a group. The food, the ambiance and setup of the restaurant are šŸ’Æ amazing.

Went with a large group, initial service from member of bar staff was poor, had the attitude that she couldn't be bothered and serving us was a hassle especially unhelpful when asked about non alcoholic drinks (basically limited options), not a good first impression. Main meal wasn't served until after 10pm! We were waiting a very long time for the starters too. Food nice, service shocking. I wouldn't go back.

It was a great experience! The food was amazing and the service was excellent, it is a friendly place with a great atmosphere. There are a lot of parking spaces. I highly recommend it!

Delicious steak, great service and beautiful interiors! We dinned with Judges to celebrate my parents in law retirement. The food was delicious and there's a great selection of wines and cocktails. The staff and friendly and service impecible. Can't wait to come again.

Average food, ok for a quick stop if you’re hungry - any port in a storm. The risotto was more of a paella which was disappointing. The Sunday roasts look great though.

I booked an early table today just for 2.We arrived and were seated without being asked if we had a booking, I mentioned I had booked a table for 2 for 545.The restaurant was fairly quiet. After taking our order the food came out super quick, staff are lovely however we both felt totally rushed by the owner of the restaurant. When we got to dessert I asked if we ā€œcould hold on for a bit?ā€The owner responded withā€œNot too long as we need the tableā€This was at 645 we had only been seated for one hour and he was rushing us to order. (usually, a table seating is for 2 - 2 and half hours? )Really didn't like this at all.I hate being rushed. We had starters, mains and desserts with alcohol, we were good customers and not just sitting with glasses empty like some we were that evening. He shouldn't have taken the booking if he was intending on rushing us to leave.Totally wrong and I doubt I'll be returning in a hurry. My husband has supported this restaurant for some time now after reading bad reviews and even arguing with people, but he was super unhappy on this occasion. What should have been a lovely relaxing local bite to eat wasn'tNando's would have been a better choice least they don't rush you and ask if you're happy.

I had a great night out here with friends recently. Loved the food and the staff. In particular, the chap who I believe may be the Head Waiter was top quality. The whole dining experience felt modern yet traditional at the same time, which I really enjoyed.

Exceptional Sunday roast. Lamb that fell of the bone, my pork belly was done to perfection. Service is professional. Atmosphere is great. I’d highly recommend Judges. Great value for money. Cheesecake freshly made; sticky toffee pudding absolutely mouth-watering. We will be back soon.

Fantastic restaurant, great atmosphere, wide range of dishes, which usually doesn't work for most restaurants but Judges cooked each to perfection. Fantastic atmosphere all around, big thank you to our waiter George who was absolutely brilliant and a great sport. Will be returning asap!

First time visiting this restaurant since it reopened under a new name and owners, and as it’s local we read the reviews before booking. I wish I’d scrolled down to read more of them as there are lots of negative reviews that are subsumed by some good ones that include some allegedly submitted by staff - 1 review claims the manager directly as the author! Our experience was pretty dire.First impressions are of a naff looking gin palace. If you like sitting in an environment that is trying to look like a cheap hairdresser’s boudoir then this is the place; from plastic flowers strewn into mock trellis on the walls to diamantĆ© studded bar, velour seats and mirrored accessories, the place is full of glittery ā€˜stuff’ probably useful to distract from the haphazard waiters. The menu isn’t cheap, and compared to other restaurants in Brookmans Park and Hertford this is pricey. The food was poor; Bread was brought with butter and olive oil in a chipped dish. My main was Roast rib of beef, half of my beef portion which wasn’t big anyway, was fat and gristle. The vegetables and Yorkshire pudding were good though. When I complained about the beef I was told ā€˜you ordered yours rare, so that’s what you get when it’s done rare, plenty of fat’!My friend’s meal was of a better quality; she had the lamb shank, and a pudding which she was happy with. When the bill was brought to us we’d been overcharged, so asked for a revised bill, and when that was brought to us the manager whisked it away and deducted a further discount from it to make up for our experience.I won’t be visiting this place again. They can’t even take the trouble to check the spelling and grammar on their printed menu - says it all really.
