Miller and Carter Brookmans Park in Welwyn Hatfield

Came in for a late lunch with friends, food was lovely and drinks fantastic too. It was quiet for a weekday so we had some lovely chat from manager Mike and our waitress Hannah who is an absolute star and gave brilliant recommendations, clearly having very in-depth knowledge of the menu and cooking processes. She is a credit to herself and the restaurant and made our experience all the more enjoyable.

Ordered from set lunch time menu. Food was very good, ran out of the chicken option so had the burger. We all enjoyed our various food choices. Staff were all very nice, there's parking, would definately go back in the evening where's there's a lot more choice. Great food really enjoyed.

I wonder if the management could tell me why, on my last 2 visits (Nov'21 & May'22), has my booking deposit of £5 per person not been deducted from the bill until I've questioned it.You can't make an online booking without the deposit, so I imagine the same is true over the phone for consistency. Why then would it not be deducted automatically?Once could be an honest mistake, but twice seems to indicate a pattern of sinister behaviour. Happy to amend my review if there's a valid reason for this. Have had a great evening on both occasions otherwise.

Excellent steak, too notch service even at the end of the day, and great booking & reminder system. M&C are always a favourite as we can guarantee a fantastic and romantic night.Attentive even though we booked at 9:15, our server Rob was top notch, so friendly and kept us to a great timescale to match up to the closing of the kitchen.Expect us back in no time!

High quality food as usual .Only thing Which I don't like is No more T-bone steak but is replaced with ,,New York Strip,, which is 20oz and enough for me.Kids meal is OK. Hamburger very tasty....the dessert wasn't the best one but we are going to Steak house

Overrated in my opinion. Mixed results with the food. I had BBQ beef croquettes for starter, not very impressive, only 3 croquettes and more salad than seemed suitable. Main was Dirty Burger, tasty but very salty. All the food came just warm, and service was somewhat slow.

Absolutely amazing. Noting that it takes quite a while to cook meat and they also have many other customers... The food came so quick. And it was delicious. The servers were brilliant. The menus are also very diverse with options for Vegans and Vegetarians. I would 100% recommend Miller & Carter Steakhouse.

Our first time eating at miller&carter,we all had the ribeye steak,was cooked perfectly,as was our chicken wings starter,loved the Knickerbocker desert, excellent service from our waitress.

We ate the sharing 28oz steak with triple cooked chips, sweet potato, 3 pepercorn and mushroom sauce, nachos share, brownies.I will rate them 1 by 1:- Steak was cooked medium as we asked, but the quality and flavours wasn't there. It was an average steak at best. Not great, not terrible. 5/10- Sauces: Dreadful. Very small amount and unpleasant taste and texture. You can not tell what you eating. It was one of the worse sauce I ever tasted. 1/10- Nachos: It was home cooked, which is nice. Unfortunately this is where it ends. It was half cold and lukewarm on the other half. The "Aged chedar sauce" very cleverly named, unfortunately we wasn't able to tell if it was related to any cheese what so ever. It was a tasteless cream. Jalapeños was okay, avocado was okay, sour cream was okay. Tomato salsa was like sweet water. 3/10- Chips and sweet potato fries was okay, nothing special, but it wasn't bad. 6/10- Brownies was nice, dark chocolate flavours, and not too sweet. 8/10- The wine selection was nice again. 9/10- The place was nice and clean. 9/10We expected much much more from a 4.3 rated restaurant, and over £100 bill.We worked in multiple restaurants, also doing home cooking. I understand that different people's have different experiences, standards, taste.The worse part for us is the boss lady can cook a 10 times better steak meal from Aldi, on budget, with a 100 times better pepercorn sauce. Under £20 for 2, much much higher standard.We wanted to like the place, unfortunately the food was a let down for us.One picture from the restaurant, and another from our own kitchen. Amazing. Service was wonderful and the steaks were amazing and the fries too and the starters we had!! Feeling very content and very full, despite it being my first time being there it hit my high expectations of the place.
