Nelitos Ristorante in Welwyn Hatfield

Very nice italian restaurant! Nice portugese wine recommanded by the staff! Amazingly delicious mushroom risotto I've ever had! Would definitely go back!

Great menu choice of Italian, Portuguese and some Sunday roast type items, so something for everyone. Food was tasty and plentiful. Staff friendly and welcoming. Only criticism was having to pay for olives and bread which were not asked for and the cost not explained before or after their arrival. We should have been able to refuse them. However, I would happily return and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I've been coming here now at least every 2 weeks for the past 2 years. The food is great, the place is spacious, and the staff are friendly. Prices are also very affordable. Now and again they have live bands too (an Elvis impersonator was in a few weeks ago!)Last December I booked my Nelito's for my Christmas work party - everyone had a blast, food was plentiful, and the music was great.Highly recommended!

Yesterday was the first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the high quality cuisine and wine and with the modest cost. We will definitely go back there soon.

FOR YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR HERE. I went there for a relatives birthday and needless to say they made a horrific mistake. My family got to the table and we were having a chat with the person who’s birthday it was, only to be greeted by a miserable manager who spoke to us like gum on the bottom of his shoe. We had a three course dinner.For starters I had the prawn cocktail, which was served on a PLATE. Traditionally it goes in a bowl, and the prawns were raw. For mains I had the chicken and bacon salad, the chicken was so dry it gave me hiccups 4 times, the bacon might as well of been able to give me liver damage, along with the forest underneath it (I now know where the Amazon is going) Last of all I had profiteroles, which tasted nice but very sickly. The presentation wasn’t good it looked like someone had just had a runny poo in the kitchen and sprinkled chocolate sauce on it. We paid £90.09 for this meal and it was absolute trash. We went outside and saw that it was a ‘five star restaurant’ straight off the bat we all disagreed. We stopped of at Mc.Donalds on the way home. This morning we all woke up and we were either suffering from being sick or having diarrhoea.

This is a superb Italian restaurant. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere, the owner is very friendly accommodating and has a bit of a sense of humour. It is conveniently located on the high street and less than 20m away is pay and display parking.

I was really disappointed, I had a groupon and regardless of the reviews both myself and wife was treated very differently to when I have been in the past and paid full price.The service is really poor, they made us feel very uncomfortable, waiting close by to finish our food and they wanted us to eat our food very quickly and it was very empty so they was not rushed off their feet at all.The food tasted nice but although we had a two menu groupon we was intending to buy further drinks and desert but they not only didn’t ask but as soon as we were finishing our meal they brought a tray of jelly beans and asked to redeem the voucher.I asked them why they didn’t even ask if we wanted desert etc and they didn’t even acknowledge what I had asked, really really disappointing and I will not be going back, made us feel terrible and we ended going for desert elsewhere.They act desperate and with it being so empty I now know why, don’t bother.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is fresh and tastes great, the service is first class and they are really friendly staff making you feel at home. The bonus is that the prices are far more reasonable than I would have expected for this level of service & quality.

I have been to Nelitos many many times and have always had great food and great service but today was totally disappointing, there was one man wearing all black that was clearly stressed because he was abrupt and rude. The other server who seemed to be doing most of the work but also stressed was an absolute star polite and accommodating. When the food eventually came out it was warm, the only thing that was hot were the vegetables but by this point I was too hungry to complain. It's fair to say will not be rushing back.

Gorgeous food!highly recommended. Delicious house white wine must try! Really nice owners. We got there early 6.30pm and only two things I would suggest is they should of put the music on straight away and put the lights down rather than having it full on. Overall fabolous will be going back :-)
