Ponsbourne Park Hotel and Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

My husband was brought a voucher for 2 courses for 2 people. We went on a Wednesday evening. The pod was nice, could have seated 6 people to eat. There was loveky cushioned seating and it was generally clean, alth there was a large splatter on the ceiling which clearly had been missed when cleaning. The service was friendly and reasonably quick. Cocktails were strong and tasty, but so they should be at £15 each. The prices of the food and drinks were very steep, and had we not had the voucher it would have been a very expensive night for the 2 of us. The pod had a heater which at points was to intense, and the door was really hard to open. There was background music from within the restaurant but none within the pod. Lovely for a quiet date night or would be good with a sociable group of friends. The starters were very tasty, large portions also. The mains were a little small however, with not much meat in each curry. Naans were the thinnest I've ever had, but were still tasty. All in all a good place but wouldn't return without a voucher, no way I'd pay their prices.

First time visiting Ponsbourne pods and can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised! The food was modern and delightful, very delicious! The mushrooms for starters were absolutely amazing and very unique as i've never had them before but we thoroughly enjoyed them! The mains were even better and they happily adjusted it to my liking without making a fuss which was great. Only critique i would give is my 'Chicken Chettinad' chicken was a bit too fatty and believe it would been better if they used chicken breast. Apart from that everything else was lovely and the whole experience of the pods was great. I was worried we'd get cold but the heater inside kept us lovely and warm! Already planning my next visit. Would also like to sincerely thank Adi and Chris whom made our experience even better and personal as they were very attentive and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Service was absolutely appalling, Manager (Asian man) has no customer service skills and doesn’t know what customer satisfaction is. made me pay for butter chicken. The curry was changed 3 times but was still extremely salty. When we told him this he denied it was salty, and he told us that he can’t take it off the bill even though the curry was not touched all three times. He was very rude in his approach, I was embarrassed by the experience and the service I received. As a manager he could have suggested another alternative to make the situation better and make his customer happy but he did not. My daughter broke out in a rash immediately after the butter chicken I mentioned this to the staff however they didn’t seem to care. It was raining and the staff seemed like they did not want to come out to the dome, kept taking our order in a hurry. Lamb biryani was little salty but edible. Extremely dissatisfied by the service and the attitude from the manager.

Great place for perfect family private dinners.We went for lunch here with my two kids. My kids were so excited to sit inside the pods. It’s different experience and they really loved it. You can play your favourite music with the Bluetooth option. Service was so good and friendly they made sure that we are comfortable. All the starters and biriyani was up to the expectations. I will recommend to go for special occasions and will be worth full.

Very delicious halal food. Love the place and the view. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Parking area are big. Will come back next time.

This is what we ordered:- 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻𝘀- 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀- 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗱- 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶- 𝗡𝗮𝗮𝗻- 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗺𝘀- 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹- 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗻 & 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁- 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘅I love outdoor dining pods and I thought this looked like the perfect place to visit as we had the kids with us. We absolutely LOVED the experience and this was the most well behaved the kids have been. Ponsbourne Pods are part of a hotel located in Hertfordshire. Each pod has heating, which you can control and a speaker too. The food came out very quickly. The starters & mains were served together (as each booking has a time limit). The food is halal and HMC certified. We booked a 3 course meal, which was paid for in advance and is non refundable. It was £80, however, some items have a surcharge and of course I ordered pretty much everything that had the surcharge, so we ended up paying a lot more. It also comes with a bottle of wine, which was meant to be substituted for soft drinks, we forgot and we were charged for the drinks too.The Tandoori king prawns were incredible and definitely the highlight of our meal. The lamb chops were seasoned well and were very tasty. The chicken chettinad was spicy (as I asked for it to be) but it felt like they just added chilli powder. The biryani lacked flavour. The desserts were both exiquiste! Overall, it’s a beautiful place, it felt so magical and I’d definitely return for the experience. In hindsight, if I went again, I wouldn’t prebook the 3 course meal, I’d order directly from the menu and order more starters instead and definitely desserts too.If you are taking young kids, be mindful, you can’t put highchairs inside the pods. I kept Little Man on my lap whilst I ate.

We went here for my birthday dinner and loved it. The food was great and the place was amazing.It was a good drive to go to the place but it's worth it given a pod and dome experience.They also have Bluetooth speakers in the domes which you can plug your own music too.

I celebrated my 12 Years anniversary here yesterday, overall good experience. Food wasn’t all that to be honest but we came here for the pods experience really. The staffs was lovely and professional. They did go an extra mile to make it special. I would recommend it just for the experience. Maybe it would be better during spring and summer.

If you are food lover BIG NOO. No doubt is a vibe place but the amount you spent for food it’s not worth for even 1star.DAAL WAS STALE . If I would not stop other ppl to eat Daal on my table, they must have end up with food poison next day. I asked waitress about Daal that it’s not fresh ( Stale ) she confirm with her manager & take it back but Manager never came to apologise just as a curtesy.Very unprofessional staff. Only 2girls were there serving many Pods. Just cz it was weekdays it doesn’t mean you can’t give service where you are paying 12.5% SERVICE CHARGE . Waitress using her hands to bring food other than using tray .All curries where too much oily. Lamb was uncooked chewy no taste at all.Butter chicken was just mixture of cream & uncooked raw Chicken . Too sweet. No flavours.Rice were cold too much butter/ghee inside , uncooked . In fact the quality of rice which I’m using at my home are far better than here. Every single dish was overpriced but the dish was made with poor ingredients and very small portion .You can go once to get experience of Pod/Doms but it’s not worth to go for enjoying food .It’s a genuine review . Please don’t rush to restaurants by watching any food bloggers reviews 😞.
