Red Indian Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

Really unsure about the higher reviews. My suggestion is that Visit Here only to waste your time and money - please read this completelyI went into this restaurant after years and my recent experience was as bitter as the previous one.We ordered the food (two curries and tandoori rotis) and had to wait for 44minutes. Then when served we're served wrong food. A less plate to eat on (might have expected to eat on th table top). The rotis were doughy, they were not cooked completely. The chicken tasted as if was cooked from a previously long preserved frozen stuffOver the years, I have had Indian style food from multiple curry houses across the UK, I crown this as the worst of all in terms of service primarily and then even the food quality.The service is pathetic, the men on service kind of did not care about us. When we complained about a plate missing the server literally threw one on the table and it wobbled once and then stood aside of the table mat. Service wise we felt to be dicremenated. When we complained they mentioned that they suddenly had some bigger orders come in for delivery, which was kind of demeaning us.This review is completely my honest feedback and experience about this restaurant. I am not here to name and shame or demean anyone or any institution.

Visited the restaurant yesterday and the service was absolutely pathetic. It took around 45 minutes for the order to arrive - small order 4 rotis and 2 curries. The Roti was not well cooked and the one of the dishes had to be changed as it was not cooked to the instructions.

The Special Red rice is to die for! Freat selection of dishes and epic flavours. And unlike many indian restaurants they sell Cider! Will come again.

Had a superb banquet night for their anniversary - delicious chutneys, mixed starter and mains, which even included the tandoori seabass, with sides too. We loved the mini cupcakes as a touch after the meal, and left so full for a bargain price. Service was fast despite a very busy evening, and we had a great time. Thanks!

Pleasant atmosphere, great service, amazing food. Appeared to be a popular restaurant as busy when we went. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Nice Indian restaurant. Food was excellent as it has been on other visits. Found the waiting staff a little stand offish and colder compared to previous times when the manager always came to the table to say hello and check up on things. Not bad but a little impersonal these days.

Visited here on a Sunday evening. Not too busy at all.Staff were great, attentive and polite. Food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes were just right!Would definitely visit here again and I recommend, especially for couples and small groups.

Fabulous food as always! Social distanced and great service. Thank you for our first meal out since February!
