This place is special. 3 visits there now and I can’t wait for my next meal there!I’ve been lucky enough to eat at a few Michelin star restaurants over the years and this restaurant is comfortably at that level, without the pretentious vibe that often comes with it. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and attentive enough to make eating there a really enjoyable experience.And then there is the food…which is honestly unbelievable! There wasn’t a single thing our table of 4 wasn’t impressed with when it came out. It looked fantastic and somehow tasted even better.This place is a hidden gem, but I don’t think it will be hidden for much longer!

Wow - delightful! Lovely refined cooking packed with flavour. The base produce also feels excellent (we ate fish and everything was great). I assume the same produce is used for the bar menu - which makes that a very interesting proposition also.

One of the best restaurant experiences of my life. They would deserve more than 5 stars, maybe a Michelin as well.

A large group of us visited on a Sunday afternoon with our toddler. The food was exceptional! The new decor is modern and the food was faultless. You can tell the chef has Michelin star experience! The menu was perfectly formed of well designed dishes which are cooked to order! Even the madeleines came out warm from being freshly baked and were beautifully light! We will absolutely be returning!

Had lunch here on Friday, went back on Saturday with two more people. This place is that good! Lovely seating area, excellent service, and the food was divine. Put it this way when there's something on the dish (amongst the sides), you wouldn't normally like, the way it's been prepared here will change your mind! All the food is made fresh on site, from the delicious canapes to the desserts and we can't wait to go back! Thank you for such wonderful food and great hosting ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fine dining experience. The staff were exceptional and you could see took great pride in their work. My main was delicious. My dessert not that great. Too many strong flavours combined. I really liked it here.

Thank you for an unforgettable lunch. We travelled up from Bournemouth to see our Son, his partner and our grandson for a post Christmas get together. The food was exceptional along with the service and welcoming from the owners and head chef. Highly recommend and woeth the 240 mile round trip. Sure next time we are up it will be our second visit. Massive thank you to all staff you all exceeded yourselves.

WOW! I used to come here with my family years ago and was thrilled to hear it had reopened after being renovated. We went with our children and my husbands family. Everyone was so impressed. The food really was exceptional and even my father in law who did a lot of entertaining in London said you’d struggle to find better in the west end. Small menu perfectly done. Even the children’s food was so tasty. Presentation was wonderful and the desserts were exquisite. You could tell everything was super fresh and cooked to order. Debbie the owner was so personable and lovely and clearly takes much pride in her beautiful pub. The decor amazing too as we’re the toilets! Lovely garden doe the children to run round and had a good view of it from our table too. Cannot wait to go back again.

Outstanding, the menu is deliberately kept small albeit perfectly adequate, the quality and presentation of the food is exquisite. Don't confuse the name with a pub, this is a first class restaurant as good as Auberge Du Lac in its pomp. Alex Parker, the head chef, is a rare find and a very talented young man.
