The Don in Welwyn Hatfield

I share a review a couple of months ago about friendly caring service. This no longer applied. I called in to order for delivery order was taken over phone and I was told it would take 1 hour and 10 minutes. This was fine. However when the order arrived we were told cash on. I was not told this when ordering neither was this stated on the website. I called through to explain and was put through to the manager. I asked if they could take card payment and he said no cash only for delivery. I explained that when I placed the order I wasn't made aware and that I was unable to drive to come and pays I had had a few drinks. I asked if I would be able to make payment the following day and apologised. I was then rudely spoken to by the manager. He said this is difficult to do in a busy time and next time if I didn't have cash I should go somewhere else. Shocking for we have been customers for over eight years. Needless to say that I will no longer be ordering from The Dom, they obviously don't need our patronage.

Always good food, friendly staff very welcoming. Never disappointed. Keep it up.

Its more of a Bangladeshi cuisine rather than Indian but the chana masala, saag aalo n naan is ok for break sometimes...

Usually very nice , but the chicken masala made my girlfriend sick, the lamb curry I had were not tender marinated pieces as advertised , they were tough strips of lamb that had just been fried , dry and tough is an understatement, and as for value for money, 2 curry's, 2 rice , 1 sag also, 1 nan bread and poppadoms over 50 quid, was gonna complain but the front to serve what I got , absolutely sure i won't be going back

Although I have had food here couple of times I usually go to Bipash which i believe is owned by the same owner. Unfortunately food at The Don was very dry and more expensive. Disappointing probably won't try again.

After reading some reviews I decided to take the family here for dinner .What a great desicion truly impressed.The food was delicious and tasty , nicely presented ,the service by the staff was great and the best part Cheap!! ( ps :we don't drink alcohol) .And for all u spice (Heat )lovers I will highly recommend the house special "Jhaal chicken" best way for me to describe this is a "mild" vindaloo with tons of flavours an sooo tasty , absolutely loved it .

Genuinely the worst Indian food I've ever had. Bland food all around, the only thing that was nice was the popaddom and mango chutney. The staff were like the blind leading the blind.

The reason for my lower rating is due to the fact that none of the staff had on masks to protect others, and when a table left, they did not sanitize it at all before seating a new group. The food was not bad, the waiters were polite and friendly and we had good service. As someone who wanted to help them out as a business, but was conscious of the fact that there are guidelines that restaurants should be following to prevent the spread of Covid-19, I feel like more should have been done to ensure the safety of the guests and staff.

Very nice restaurant and very clean. Food was delicious and good portion sizes. There are better out there within wgc but I would definitely be going again.
