The Grove in Welwyn Hatfield

My sister and I had lunch here today I live quite near and have not been for a long time. The pub was lovely and clean and food amazing. Freshly cooked and such good value 10.99 for 2 pub classic meals. Bar staff smiley and so patient. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Great food, and great deals on the food. Large garden with child's play area. Good selection of drinks. Usually hosts events on a weekend and independent acts/talents during the week.

Food was ok but bar staff quite blunt and offish. A very clicky pub so felt a bit unwelcome because I wasn't a regular.

Lovely place to spend and afternoon one cool yourself with a cold pint. Food is excellent the staff very friendly and welcoming. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Could do with a little renovation, decoration upgrade of toilets etc... difficult in these times for any Landlord! Otherwise pretty good, Staff helpful, food to a good standard for the price and they have Stella Artois on tap so I was happy.

I try not to be too critical of hospitality venues in the current climate but,....oh dear. I attended The Grove to celebrate a friend's milestone birthday but having too endure a 30 - 40 minute wait before being served, every time you wanted a drink, took the shine off the evening. The bar was busy but, not a 30 - 40 minute wait busy. The problem was the staff, totally incompetent doesn't really cover it. Very surprised that Greene King allows one of the establishments too be run in such a way, the service is atrocious! When you think it can't get any worse, you drink comes served in a plastic cup. I will not be returning by choice, under duress is the only way I will go back. AVOID,AVOID,AVOID, AVOID!!!!!!!!

Our local DJ and the leader of our scooter club, The Welwyn Stags, who regularly attend The Grove had unfortunately been taken I’ll with covid. The Grove provided an amazing Christmas dinner for over 20 of us, great service, great food.Following Saturday the manager provided music with the scooter scene sound. A fantastic night at such short notice. We didn’t miss out on our annual bash. Fun was had by all. Rate the pub, staff, management top score!!Thank you

Came on a Saturday evening. Food was good for most of our group, one meal recooked quickly as was over cooked and hard 1st time. Bar service was very good. And live music was great, Adam and Kelly were fab. Would come back for the live music when I'm back in the area.
