The Rookery Cafe in Welwyn Hatfield

How did I not see this cafe before as I passed it loads of times in the past .Clean? = yes.. nice food ? = yes.. is there parking ? = YES ( a great big gravel/dusty almost Supermarket size that CAN cope with a good few BIG H.G.V.'s ).. reasonably priced ? = yeah I'd say ... plenty of seating in and out ..I could go on a bit more but look if you're hungry and and worried about parking there's even a Kebab Van there which I'm told opens in the evenings just give it a try .... it's not the Savoy Hotel but it's.. busy to say the least and they coped well and the customers didn't seem to be waiting long at all for their food , safe and a really good atmosphere and the staff are friendly and the toilets are VERY clean . An easy 9.5/10 ( my car got a bit dusty lol ... 😎 )

Haven't been in the cafe for a while. I've visited the kebab van in the car park several times. Top notch kebabs. Lovely.

Used as a meeting point for a rideout last week. Nice big car park, £1 council coffee although they do the fancy stuff, pleasant helpful staff, they take cards so what's not to like.Didnt try the food but what I saw looked great..

Today was the first time coming into this area. Apart from being overcharged on my oyster, being and finding this cafe was like a breath of fresh air, as I had arrived too early. Had a really great earl grey just to calm my nerves before my interview. As I know I won't be passing by any time soon, I hope I do!!!!! Amazing atmosphere and service

Pulled over today and the car park was full , so drove on to the pub up the road but it was shut, so glad the pub was shut went back to the rookery despite it being rammed food was extremely quick , tasted unreal and the place was spotless . Loads of parking so if it’s full don’t be put off your food is less than 10mins away 100% going back

Still the best food in Hatfield area.Great prices and old school set up. Proper cafe. Used recently in the tv series Two Week's to Live
