The Sheldan Inn in Welwyn Hatfield

So pleased my friend told me about this place, me and my dad both require a gluten free diet and it was so good not to have to choose between a few options that are an after thought on a menu.My dad was so happy that he could finish my mums halloumi bites as normally her food wouldn't be gluten free. We went with 5 people who weren't gluten free and they enjoyed their food as much as we did.Every member of staff we encountered was so friendly, it was like going round your friends for a meal! We will definitely be returning!!

Strange old place.Decent selection of beers.Friendly bar staff.Some very odd.and excitable patrons.

It's really wonderful place to go and visit and I will hilly recommend going there for a visit God bless you all my friend's and all of the staff team are very welcoming and friendly take care of your selves and stay safe and keep well and have a really lovely wonderful blessed rest of your week and a lovely blessed weekend and a great week ahead for next week xXx

Really great place! So much choice of gluten free food and kids meals (my 2yo really enjoyed her dinner). I also really appreciated the long list of non/low alcoholic drinks. Will definitely be going back.

Big shout out to the fabulous staff who served myself and Jack today, made us feel very welcome and we both really enjoyed the burger and chips.Would definitely recommend and return again.

Stopped for a beer n lunch felt as tho we wasnt welcom so drank up and left. Realy nice looking pub just unfreindly staff.

Lovely building, excellent staff, really good Guinness and great vibe. The live music (Blame Wayne) were an astounding addition too!

Had such a lovely time and meal choosing whatever I wanted from the menu (unusual for someone that is gluten free!) Topped off with a great live band in the evening

My favourite place. As a single woman I feel totally comfortable walking into this pub on my own at any day & time. Rachael, the landlady, runs a tight ship. Is warm & welcoming and always front of house with her customers. The food is great, well cooked and varied menu. Plenty of space and no concerns over covid safety as everything is sanitised regularly and lots of space for 2m distancing
