The Woodman Inn & Carvery Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

We just had a plesent lunch this time ,had the ploughmans lunch and it was very tasty service was quick and we were full when we left would recommend

Have to admit it gone a little bit down hill from the last time I was there ordered 2 x blt sandwhich and a portion of chips 2 drinks and payed chips didn't arrive when I asked I was told that they forgot to put the chips through and it was going to cost me an extra cost so not sure if I paid for chips first time or not.So I would advise to check your order.

Nice pub at the end of 7km walk.

The food is excellent and in a lovely country pub would highly recommend it

Amazing carvery there on 8 dec 2021 for lunch. Beef was perfect. So was all veg and gravy. We also had full english. Yummy fish and chips. Service was ace. Highly recommend.

She absolutely loved it, the venue was fab, the garden was so cute and we all loved the food too but mainly your warm king professional hospitality. We would definitely book again. We are also coming back as a family to have a meal at the pub soon. Thanks so much for helping us to make our daughters party very special. Everyone was extremely happy and had a good time.

A small, quiet out of the way pub with a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good beer. Out of all the places to go within the local area, this is by far my favourite, as its more remote location gives it a much more relaxed environment and is out of range of larger groups during the weekend. Great spot for anyone looking to enjoy a drink in peace.

Very disappointed with my Chicken Kiev & chips. Kiev was obviously reconstituted chicken and completely dry (see photo). Chips were not much better.Partner said her ploughman’s was ok - very difficult to get a ploughman’s wrong though.Should I have sent mine back? Probably but I’ll only get the same again. Best post a negative review and I’ll not bother go back!

Sunday Carvery was fabulous. They have spaced out the tables and have screens up, felt very safe. Excellent quality food. Great beer, friendly helpful service, and good prices. Would thoroughly recommend this place.If you pop there for a beer, they have table service currently, and they have a covered patio outside in the back garden - which is best to book.See you soon, I'll be back
