This is a great waterside location. There is alfresco seating and a charming interior. The Nungate Bridge and St. Mary's Church make for a very attractive place to visit. There is an extensive menu or just take coffee or a drink

The fish and chips was excellent however the way we were offered it wasn't. When we asked for fish and chips we were asked if that was the medium? We said yes. To be charged the higher price was a shock. So it must have been small and medium. No large option? The other issue was the price of a draft pint of coke. It is £4. That is extortionate.I don't like to make a scene so in showing my displeasure, no tip was given. We'd come back however would be careful on what we ordered and ask specifically about prices.

I've just moved to Haddington and what a great wee find this place is. I booked a table for two very late on the Saturday night for a late Sunday Lunch.A fantastic warm and friendly welcome to this beautiful and quirky establishment. Service was quick and efficient with knowledgeable and attentive staff. For starter I had melon and prawn marie rose. Simple and very pleasant, beautifully presented and with the freshest of ingredients. For main I had the lamb shank which was scrumptious and fell off the bone. The smoked bacon mash and meat jus were excellent. I had Drambuie and Orange cheesecake for sweet whilst my partner had the home made sticky toffee pudding. Both dishes were a total triumph and we left two very full and satisfied customers.A great first meal out in Haddington and I hope to have several more trips here in the future.Beautiful location and lovely to see that they are dog friendly too. A big plus. Will definitely be back.
