We visited recently for food and drinks, the service was great, the staff were friendly and when we had a slight problem with the food it was swiftly sorted. Kyle was chatty and informative but all the staff deserve a pat on the back for their positivity during a time when being in the hospitality industry has been difficult.

Last two times been there meals were excellent and very tasty. Although had a pudding today but custard was coldish.

I had breakfast at Craig House with my friend, on arrival we where instantly welcomed by Michelle who was so nice & chatty as she should us to our table, she explained the ordering service to us so well that it was easy for us to understand without her making us feel like we didn’t know what we where doing, the food was so fresh & nicely cooked, Michelle was so attentive without interrupting our chat, she was so lovely bringing us anything we needed, nothing seemed to much for her to do. We heard her with the other customers too & she was so lovely & friendly to them too, she certainly made our visit even more special. She is an absolute credit to Craig House, thank you Michelle for looking after us. Also the place is looking the cleanest & nicest than I have ever seen it look. Well done to your team

Have been here many times before and never any issue. This time however very slow service was there for over 2.5hpurs to have 3 courses. I am not sure if they are short staffed but may be useful to tell customers at the beginning so we can understand. Menu has changed and the food is not as good as it used to be. I ordered the Garlic mushrooms and they were very heavily fried. I ordered the big stack burger and was dry and the salad did not seem fresh. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the restaurant.

Left extremely angry. Booked for my wife's birthday dinner with our two young children. Turned up and waited a couple of minutes to been seen and told coldly we had no reservation. My wife showed the booking email to the waitress and no apology just a snappy reply I'll fit you in. Given a tiny table next to the back door, there where bigger 4 seater tables left empty for the whole of our stay. Took our drinks order quickly but gave us the wrong drinks so had to wait. Took 30 minutes for food order to be taken after my wife got up to ask for somebody to take our order. Heard the table next to us complain their food order was wrong and they were moaning of the wait they had. After 15 minutes two small wedges of garlic bread arrived for our girls. After our girls finished there small piece of garlic bread we waited a further 30 minutes for our carvery to arrive. The order was wrong the waitress was rude and unprofessional, she took our plates and said she would fix it, we said no as we had now been in the restaurant for over 1hr20 mins with only two small wedges of garlic bread for the girls in this time asked to cancel the order. It wasn't busy in their restaurant when my wife went over to ask for our order to be taken the waitresses were busy gossiping to each other. When we were leaving a customer went over to the till to be snapped at by the waitress what you wanting, the customer replied to pay unless you want us to walk out with out paying . when we left the manager didn't look happy with us but in the 1hr 20 minutes we waited it was the first time we seen him. Unprofessional and rude staff, I've worked in the industry for over 20 years and never seen service like this, felt like an episode of gorden ramsay kitchen nightmares

Brilliant restaurant! Upon arriving for our dinner reservation we were warmly welcomed and swiftly seated, the staff explained what seasonal items were on the menu and were extremely polite and helpful. We were served efficiently without feeling rushed and staff checked that everything was OK with our meals and that we were enjoying our meals. We all had a three course meal and the food was high quality; the seasonal menu was particularly good and I would highly recommend the Christmas burger. All in all this was a very pleasant night out. I would recommend this restaurant to others and we will definitely be going back again.

I always have my doubts about chain restaurants; however, I can honestly say that the Craig House more than surpassed my expectations. From entering the restaurant the staff where more than friendly and welcoming. The member of staff that showed us to our table was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and supplied a list of dishes they didn't have which avoided unnecessary disappointment and frustration. The menu had an abundance of choice for even the most picky eaters. We all went for items off the festive menu, which for three courses for £12.99 was fantastic value. The food was of a very high standard. The staff were very attentive and asked on several occasions if the food was ok and if we needed anything further. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend Craig house to others. Thank you to the team there for an enjoyable evening and great food!!

Booked for christmas dinner, got confirmation email, told everyone, made arrangements then they called to say they were fully booked. Absolutely disgusted. They need to update their website more regularly.
