Chen's in East Lothian

They got a new chef I believe recently and sorry but it’s just not that good anymore 🤷‍♂️

Great mushroom and vegetable dish, good fried rice but I think that due to the texture, that their meat in the beef curry is processed.

By far the best Chinese in the area. I have tried most of the dishes on the menu & highly rate them all. Salt & chilli dishes are the best I’ve had anywhere

First time in a long time I've had Chinese, I asked for breast of chicken curry, this wasnt breast just chunks of something and had more onions and sauce than chicken

Mediocre, had crispy shredded beef and my wife had crispy shredded chicken, neither were in the least bit crispy even though most other takeaway Chinese restaurants manage. Cant say it was bad but can't say it was good either. Worth trying once but unfortunately our first time will likely be our last time.

Often eat here at the weekends. Food is the best ive tasted in a long time. Wont go past chen's now. Good delivery service

We are ordering from Chen's very often. Food is great every time also delivery is very quick. In my opinion they're definitely the best in the area.

Brilliant food, but it seems just eat driver can be late and never apoligises. Doesnt stop me coming back though

We made and order and asked the member of staff to read it back to us so we hadnt forgotten anything or marked the wrong item. We recieved our order it was wrong, noodles had all veg when stated plain they were also super dry and salty. Chips and rice were ok some a bit oily/greasy, curry was bland. We had phoned up (counter assistant) stated our order was wrong and got nothing but abuse saying we were in the wrong so spoke with manager and he agreed woth counter assistant saying we shouldve checked, we did. Then got more abuse and hung up on. Absolutley unprofessional manner of treating customers wouldnt recommend them after this.

Great food for a great price coupled with great service from friendly staff. Really enjoyed eating here. Fried rice dishes and BBQ spare ribs were delightfully delicious. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back.
