Dynasty in East Lothian

Ordered Salt/Chilli Chips & Duck with Shoots/Chestnuts for collection- was not disappointed.The duck was firm and tasty, paired vegetables and a delicate sauce- the combination tasted real and had a silken texture to it all. As I collected, it was all still piping hot throughout and fresh.I've had chips on a takeout many times, and I have to admit that these were the best Salt/Chilli chips I've ever had (though they often go under the name of Salt/Pepper but they're the same thing.) Collecting has its bonuses- they were freshly made fries with a nice crispy snap to them- none of that soggy stuff you often get on a takeout.All in all, damned delicious and I'll definitely come back in the future next time I order a takeaway. (FYI I really do recommend the duck with shoots/chestnuts- it's not sweet, it's very much savoury, and to me at least it felt as though it didn't have many additives that you might often find in a takeout- no absurd sugaring, not overly seasoned, just genuinely made homely food.)

Ordered what was meant to be a 2 person meal for me and the misses. Wasn't even enough food to feed my cat. Probably wouldn't eat it anyways. Terrible food, sauce and portion size. I've found better edible food under my fridge. Was sick all over the wife, cheers.

I should have known if they deliver within 20mins of placing order that it would not be the best, especially on a friday night. I have tried dozens of take aways over the years and the bbq spare ribs were so disgusting!!! Worse ever..inedible...how can a chinese get such a simple dish so wrong! No sauce and absolutely disgusting!! Other stuff was just OK...wont be ordering again!!

Thank you so much for a absolutely smashing meal a very worthwhile definitely 5 star.Me and my husband are stay near by and ordered a vegetarian chow main noodles, chips, vegetarian spring rolls, char siu pork with ginger and spring onions.What a great service even down to the phone call before hand to inform us of our order this is the first meal we fully eaten in one sitting with no waste.The delivery was perfect we got a phone call from a young man informing that he was on his way a great service with a smile. Would just like to say not being from this area this was a fantastic meal 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 thank you.

My girlfriend has just ordered from Dynasty.Her chicken (from the salt and pepper chicken dish) was verging on raw. An almost pinkish form that undercooked chicken takes.It was wet, soft and had a texture closer to fish than chicken. It was obviously inedible, and so my girlfriend decided to ring Dynasty in order to ask for a replacement or (in the event of that option being unavailable) a refund.The lady that answered my girlfriend's call was immediately hostile towards her when the state of the chicken was brought up. "You're the only one whose complained tonight!" was the condescending retort to my girlfriend's polite explanation of why she had rang.Despite having not seen the dish, the lady on the phone argued that the chicken couldn't be undercooked. My girlfriend insisted it was and the lady relented and said she'd speak to the kitchen before putting the phone down on my girlfriend (without even putting her on hold or saying that she'd contact her back).After 10 minutes my girlfriend rang again and asked the same lady if she had an update. The reply? "The kitchen says it couldn't be undercooked."My girlfriend then proceeded to say she wasn't happy with the state of her food. The lady then said (reluctantly) that they would send another dish out, but once again reaffirmed that "You're the only one complaining", as if it matters that only one person is complaining about under cooked chicken served from a restaurant.In fact, if you read other reviews (as we have now done) the undercooked chicken complaint has been made before. Several times.The food quality here is generally good, but after tonight we'll never order from Dynasty again. The customer service my girlfriend received (in which she was more or less accused of being a liar) leaves a worse taste in our mouths than the undercooked slimy chicken that was sent out.I would avoid Dynasty at all costs until they improve their service standards and learn that serving raw food is dangerous.

Just had a delivery from the dynasty in musselburgh, Arrived within 12mins of being ordered. Chicken curry inedible . Chicken was of rubber consistency and no curry flavour, no taste at all and was just full of onion and bland sauce like water,chicken looked more like it had been boiled than stir-fryed, Contacted restaurant to ask for replacement curry, for only to be given abuse and called a liar and disgusting and how dare I complain about their chicken. £24 for a meal I cant eat and refuse to give me any replacement. Id never dream off giving a local company a bad name but, she wasnt even willing too listen too me, just kept telling me chicken was good chicken, I only wanted a replacement curry as I couldnt chew the chicken.

Chicken salted chilli and shrimp fried rice, amazing!!! Loads of shrimp and chicken prawn or beef salted chilli best thing ive ever eaten, would not go past it

We have ordered from the dynasty for years and have loved it. Recently, standards have slipped. Orders take over an hour to arrive, and it's cold, food is tasteless and greasy.It is absolutely horrible and we will never go back there again. Take my advice and look elsewhere for local chinese food.

We had an ordered delivered last weekend, it took over 1 hour 20 minutes to arrive.The large spring roll starter was very nice and as were the chilli salt chips but that is where it stopped.We are ordered shredded chicken with chilli honey sauce, there was very little veg with the meal and the sauce which was provided in a seperate tub was very watery and had no flavour to it.The lemon chicken with orange sauce was marginally better however the sauce was overly sweet and sickly.The rice, bean sprouts and prawn crackers all came in tiny portions.The chef is clearly not up to the required standard.This used to be a decent Chinese takeaway but from my experience and from reading recent reviews, standards have clearly slipped.I will not be using this takeaway again.

Made an order via Just Eat. Food took over an hour and ten minutes to arrive. Food was cold, soggy and disgusting. Also frozen in some parts. Contacted restaurant where the woman had zero interest in helping, said not her problem and to contact just eat. Really terrible and rude service. Honestly taken aback by how awful every thing was. Do not order from here. Thankfully Just Eat refunded me and couldn’t have been more helpful.
