Herringbone in East Lothian

Brilliant food ,great wines,great service. Had delicious chowder, chips,hummus. Great Margarita.

I picked up my wife Gerri at the Camilla House Nursing Home in Edinburgh where she now lives, and took her for a drive down to North Berwick, where we like to go. What we needed was some plain water, vanilla ice-cream and a coffee. I managed to find a parking space in the main shopping street, by chance just outside the herringbone, where we had never been before. Young waitress was very friendly, receptive and instantly helpful. Was given the three items straightaway on a suitable round tray with the right size of plastic spoon. I went straight back to the car and fed Gerri, then realised I needed a pee, and asked if somebody could stay with her her while I went to the gabinetto.. Another nice colleague instantly obliged, and in no time we were off back to Edinburgh. A good experience, we will be back to herringbone. Great service guys. Many thanks! Colin and Gerri.

Lovely place, nice atmosphere, food and drinks.

Table was a little tight but that was because the restaurant very kindly allowed two extra guests at the last minute.Food was good and wine selection excellent.The staff were very busy but I didn't feel like we had to wait too long for anything.

Lovely welcome. Food very nice with lovely presentation. Lots of vegan dishes and choices. We had soup/ garlic mushrooms on sour dough toast. Sounds basic but the flavours were something else. !!!Both main courses delicious. Just had unique 👌 additions eg salsa and dips. Staff brought us complimentary water. Nice touch. Pleasant visit and enjoyable food, leaves you wanting more. !!

Great restaurant with lovely welcoming staff. Well worth visiting and sensible pricing. Varied menu with something for all tastes. Highly recommended.

I always have a great experience when I go here. It's baby friendly but still retains a smart adult vibe, food is great, and whilst they have an excellent selection of alcoholic drinks, they make a real effort with the alcohol free cocktails and drinks too. I like how they put little personal things around the place too relating to the product, like what the staff like on the menu. Can't wait until my next visit

What an awesome find! Brilliant atmosphere and brilliantly chilled vibe with a fabulous interior design. Ambiance in abundance!The menu is varied and enticing - there really is something for everyone, with a first class selection of wines and beers.We enjoyed some of the freshest fish we have had in a long time. All the food beautifully presented and every bit as delicious as it looks.Top it off with a truly out of this world service from a Front of House team that seamlessly combine professionalism, warmth and smiles all round. They make the experience a memorable one.

Tried the main breakfast (see pic) and veggie breakfast. Both outstanding and perfectly cooked. Great service from all those we met. Will definitely return. Updated the opening times for them.
