Jaz's Fish Bar in East Lothian

I made an order on just eat, after the delivery was taking too long I rang them and spoke to someone to say I would be cancelling, the person asked my address, then apologised and said would be still at least half an hour maybe more so I said I would cancel he said OK. This was before I cancelled with just eat. I have been charged the full amount over sixteen pounds. Just eat have said no refund as the food was already prepared. I will never use jazs fish bar again, I'm reluctant to say they lied but it seems that's what they did

Special fish was beautiful and everything was cooked fresh then cross the road to Lucas for Desert

Fish is not nice seems to be leatherly batter no crunch. If u try alandas fish and chip van there's a big difference in taste & crunch just far superior to Jaz am afraid. Sorry for the bad review but have had a few out here and tastes the same as before. Just my opinion.

I like my favourite is donner Berger and chips is so lovely and the staff is very super lovely ladies I will go back again so much is fun a lot and thank you yours so nice and the shop is clean so nice to kids

Lovely food as always. And staff are all lovely very friendly.

Pizza took 2 and a half hours to arrive. After calling the takaway they said they would make it fresh and send it back again. They claimed the driver had already been to my address to deliver but they had not. They claimed they called to see where I was but once again they did not. When the takaway eventually arrived I was greeted with what looked like a day old pizza which had been reheated in the microwave. The takaway hung up on me and could be heard laughing in the background when I questioned how they managed to cook a fresh 16 inch pizza in 10 minutes and deliver it. Will never order from there again and I suggest other don't either. Rude staff, horrible food and you would be better off with a frozen pizza from Iceland. At least it would be warm and fresher.

UPDATE JULY 2021The onion rings are rock hard. They will seriously test your gnashers. Not only are they like granite, but the amount of onion inside them is incredibly thin. Perhaps they started out thicker but the over-frying caused them to shrivel up and die. Why do I keep ordering them? Will I ever learn?Original ReviewFish is always over-cooked, even when cooked from fresh. Onion rings will break your teeth. They're re-fried to heat them up. Chips are nothing to write home about. Kebabs, pizzas, etc are also available. Mind you, I've had worse.

Probably the best fish and chip shop in the universe. last fish I had out of there was a perfect fillet. Not a single bone, not even at the gristly end. AND they do deep. fried. pizza. If there is a Heaven I hope Jaz's is the chippie there.

I ordered my food for collection and they got my order wrong. I ordered chips and curry and received chips and cheese. Normally I would be OK with it but its not the first time they have messed up my order so its pit me off going there for a while. Its a shame cos rhe staff are so lovely and friendly.

Had to stand outside in the rain because they had nothing ready, lots of justeat orders going out. Waited over 30 minutes. Lots of staff none wearing masks. Food was good though
