Longniddry Inn in East Lothian

Good service, nice food. Only criticism was my glass of malbec wine had sediment in bottom of glass and I was told it's a sign of a good wine, second glass of same wine didn't have anything left in bottom of glass.

We haven't been to the Longniddry Inn for years and wanted to try it again to see what it was like. The menu was varied with something for everyone. The presentation of the poached egg and black pudding starter was lovely but the egg on both dishes was over cooked. The prawn cocktail seemed quite basic for the price. The sizzler plates all came with a sweet chilli sauce, it would be nice to have more options, maybe serving the salmon with a glaze instead. The pie was nice with good quality meat. Shame it was just a pastry top. I can't fault the portion size of the mains, they were huge even the children's meals. The service was slow at times and not everyone was as friendly as they could have been. I would say it's average pub food that some chain pubs easily top.

Booked a meal here today for my 60th was served by a super nice Waiter Braydon... the food was amazing we had Steak Pie, Chicken Sizzler and Haddock ..wow portions were great...puddings were tasty too! Thank you for a super nice end to a lovely birthday. We shall book again in April I recommend this place you won't be disappointed 10/10

Sixth time visiting this restaurant and it just keeps exceeding itself.We were served by the lovliest young lad whos manner was an absolute credit to this company!! He welcomed us in, was so pleasant, chatted, took the order and in general made our visit really pleasant.The food didnt disappoint, chicken & salmon sizzlers & macaroni cheese were delicious. Compliments to the chef!!My mum ordered a hot chocolate & joked, asking for it with all the trimmings. The waiter went that bit further and made her hot chocolate a little extra special just for her. Its little gestures like this-as well as his fantastic attitude- that made it a fantastic experience and we will definately be returning.I really hope he is recognised for his refreshing attitude.

Went for sunday lunch, bit of a wait, I ordered Salmon Sizzler which turned out to be raw, sent it back but was put off ordering anything else. The management quite righly didnt charge us for any meals or drinks but we left feeling very disappointed and ultimately wont be hurrying back.

I was a bit disappointed with the food . Myself and partner took my daughter and partner out for her birthday. I got the lasagne which was a little bit dry, and my daughter the sizzling chicken with sweet chilli sauce which she didn't eat or enjoy. We have been going to the pub for quite axfew years now and have always enjoyed the food so was disappointed this time.

Fantastic service waitress was amazing very accommodating . Food was great very large portions every course was delicious

Friendly staff. Menu choice was great. Superb food and in a relaxed setting. Highly recommended.

Had a late unplanned lunch with hubby and mum-in-law. Great menu and food was piping hot, plenty of it and delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again if we are over that way. (also each table is provided with a wee pair of scissors to open sachets....brilliant!)

Had a lovely lunch here was absolutely brilliant weather so sat outside to eat. Staff are very welcoming and polite and had a wonderful afternoon with a great atmosphere.
