Mario's Pizza And Kebab House in East Lothian

Pretty terrible customer service been a customer for years and tonight I was told they don’t deliver to my address, even after I explained I’ve ordered from them many times they weren’t fussed. Not sure if it’s a change of staff but going from recent reviews it’s a shame to see the place decline like this.

I visited this place on sunday asked for cheese and doner. They forgot to add cheese. Plus the young guy there needs to learn customer service seemed aggressive. No please thankyou just £18 poynds plus prices are high comoared to the turkush takeaway in portobello.

Would not order food from here if it was the last place on earth, nasty hard meat over fried or old vegetable and one small salad box for an order over £70.00 also 2 small garlic dips for 7 meals asked for 2 more was told £1 each what a joke when I told him we have bought more than 2 meals then he said ok you can have it what a load of nonsense, ordered a calzone, king kebab rubbish chicken was hard lamb was out of date cold pitta bread service in a small container should change the name to bog kebab that is what it looked liked no flavours what so ever , the staff were so loud and just not impressed with the food at all no one has food quality.

Called for delivery and the man on the phone was very rude and abrupt and aggressive got the order wrong when called back he started arguing with me about my order telling me I asked for something I didn't customer service was shocking he couldn't careless and just said we are busy and hung up on me never will be back

I ordered lamb kebab, it was very delicious. I like the service, too. It's fast and friendly.

Pleased how quick it was to order via app. First time at Mario’s really enjoyed there chicken kebab. Chips were decent! Friendly staff when collecting order.

Yesterday I ordered an anchovie, black olive and green pepper pizza to go and it was very well made. Not too greasy and the service was very courteous. Will certainly order again.

I have been a customer of Marios for over 25yes. Sadly after how I was treated not anymore. Totally shameful! I ordered a delivery Saturday evening, I called when it was over an hour. The girl said it was on its way. These things happen. However, much to my dismay it was well below the standard usually delivered. The meat was tough, burnt, in unpalatable chunks-yuk! I called back to explain & the girl said they’d send another ASAP. I Re wrapped the kebab, ready to hand back. This was refused. I then to my dismay opened the box to find a huge clump of meat. Much like what I had just complained about. I went about emptying the old kebab to put he new meat in. The pitta was now cold & hard! The salad was wet also, a big pile of water had congealed in the salad box. Disgusted I tried a few pieces & binned the whole lot. I was too disappointed to call back again on Saturday to ruin my night further. I called when they opened this evening & explained and asked for a refund. The girl said that she would have to call her dad the owner because I didn’t call again on Saturday!!! Ffs! So I said nicely I also had pictures to prove everything I had said, & after 25 yrs I’m not the type of customer to lie! The girl called me back & confirmed I wouldn’t get my money back because I hadn’t called on the night. To be fair I was so fed up & my disabled son was itching to watch The Voice final I didn’t want my night ruined further! Totally shocking way to treat a good customer with a legitimate complaint! I said I was shocked & unhappy at how I was treated & they had just lost a very good customer! Spend your money elsewhere!

Like 1990 Pizza Hut. Eating this droopy cheese crispy pepperoni feast was like being transported back in time to my 6th birthday party. It tasted like a ninja turtle action figure and the excitement of an upcoming sleepover.

Now as a bit of an expert about takeaways if I say so myself. Mario's Definitely serves the best doner kebab in the whole of Scotland. After doing a bit of research I found out they are one of 3 shops in the whole of Edinburgh who actually make the doner in house and I can say without a doubt it's the best.
