Stopped here for a wedding locally, family room was perfect for our needs . Housekeeping staff & the pub staff were both very helpful & polite. We also enjoyed a lovely family meal the night before the wedding for about 15 people ordered at short notice which was accommodated with no issues. Definitely recommended.

Having toured the NC500 this was our overnight stop en route back home. Dissapointly the Pine Marten did not meet expectations and fell well short of our previous 9 accommodations. The room was dingy and the entire block smelt stale!! Restaurant unavailable to residents at 6pm ?Yet we were not advised of the necessity to book a table when we checked in@ 4:30? : however, turned out in our favour as we ate at The Volunteer Arms in Dunbar which was superb and we can confidently recommend.Pine Marten is overpriced at £95 for a double (room only) for 1 night. Shall not be using again as there are far better quality accommodations around for that price as we have experienced from this trip.

We had dinner here as a last minute idea.Service was OK. Nothing outstanding. Plates delayed to be taken away no cutlery on tables. Staff however friendly enough. A few items on menu not available. We ordered 3 rib-eye steaks and a chicken dish. 2 of the steak meals ok but the 3rd steak was half the thickness and cooked to order. However we'll over cooked due to the thickness of the meat. Most of it left my father. The chicken was dry and chewy. Thr highlight of the meal would be thr desserts. Very enjoyable but not worth sitting through the main courses. Not asked once if our meal was enjoyable or if we could be assisted in anyway. Even tho one meal (steak) was half eaten no waiting staff asked why this was the case. We then waited for dessert plates to be taken away to ask for bill. This never happened and we had to get bill from the bar. I wouldn't recommend the food here. Mcdonalds is over the road. If anything coffee and dessert.

Terrible meal! My husband and I booked a table for two on Sunday 27 February 2022. It took over 25 minutes for our meals to be served. Hubby had roast beef, which was sliced so thin you could almost see through it. The meat was barely warm and was tough as old leather. The potatoes were soft as if they'd been cooked the day before and then warmed up. Veggies were water logged and the gravy looked like coloured water, no taste. I had the roast pork, which had no taste, was tough and dry and also barely warm. We hadn't been to the pine Marten for 8 years, as we moved away. We were looking forward to a lovely meal. What a disappointment! Standards have definitely fallen. We won't be back.

Clean, peaceful and comfortable. Lots of safe parking. Great team of efficient and friendly staff. Well priced meals...great portions. Safe children's play area. Adjacent to Asda with fuel station and also a lovely independent garden centre.

Family friendly. Food could have been better. Steak was like chewing a rubber shoe sole. First guy who served us was courteous and took our order quick. He might have went on his break cause we waited a while to order dessert even then we had to go to the bar.

A cross between Travelodge and Premier Inn. Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable and in a separate building to the pub/restaurant. Menu extensive and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and welcoming but kitchen a trifle slow

Really lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and good food. We didn't feel rushed and the staff were a real pleasure. Good level of choice on the menu to suit most people. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal or a cosy catch up and drinks.

Room was very clean - had everything we needed except perhaps another chair would have been appreciated - a chair is more comfortable than sitting on the bed watching TV.Cleaning staff very friendly.Had a meal next door - not Michelin star but good pub grub.Overall, excellent value for money.
