Rainbow Restaurant in East Lothian

Lost count of the times Ivebeen in this chippy over the years. It's been ok. Two older guys, very polite, running a good chippy. Last year or so there has been a horrible old woman who rushes out of nowhere to hijack the servings. She is rude to to the point of being noxious.It is no wonder this establishment is up for sale with a person like her serving customers. I was served by her twice; the second time, they didnt get my money.Do not pay if that woman is serving.

Good chips, however customer service 0 stars, rude and shouting at clients for no reason. Manners cost nothing and clients we are not cattle.

Can't really comment on the chips quality as I ordered the Hoagie wrap.It was a well sized wrap, certainly enough to fill the belly of most.Good food from a traditional staple on the musselburgh high street.

Shocking service payed in past for a supper for many years and received large portion of chips with it today I have been and received a shockingly small portion would not even call it a supper and the women had the nerve to say you have to ask for a large supper which is NOT stated on their menu or instore think they make it up as they go along won't be back was bad enough with the customer service received and food was just confirming how bad this place is

Reasonable price but a fish I got from them was so old and already grey. Haddock should be white, it becomes grey when it's old. Also even if lady serving me never put any salt on it it was so salty... The fish itself was salted - I assume because it was old they tried to preserve it. Disgraceful and dangerous!

Multiple options to order online or just drop in to choose from the counter. Staff are polite and friendly. Card machine was not working onsite so if you are just dropping in take cash. Portions are good and the food is freshly made to order.

Nice staff, food quality is what you expect from a chippy in Musselburgh. I prefer to eat at home as, not often happy for outdoor door food. My partner and kiddies liked it. Can't fault that staff at all, they where very kind and helpful. 😊. Went to see the ducks near by, good way to burn off chippy energy.

This is a fish and chip shop that serves food. We had the small fish tea that was just the right size for an early dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The shop/restaurant was very clean and the staff appeared to follow good hygiene practices. Would definitely recommend.
