The Garvald Inn in East Lothian

My wife, my baby and I all had such a wonderful time when we visited the Garvald Inn for lunch last week. The ale was fresh and delicious and the sea-food, salads and home-made pesto were all divine. We had apricot stuffed pheasant for our main course which was a very special dish indeed. Thank you so much for a tremendous experience!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with friends. Excellent food and good service. Friendly dogs as well.

We popped in after a long walk with muddy boots we were still welcomed in. The food was absolutely delicious, and the draft beer jarl made the perfect pint. Well worth a visit even if it means going a little bit out of your way you won't be disappointed.

Lovely quiet village pub and good service.

We visited the Garvald Inn restaurant as part of a visit to Carfrae Farm u the road. A quaint and friendly restaurant, made really good homemade style food. Elaine and Peter who run the place were really lovely and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It worked well for our family and they were really accommodating with food options for our children, when asked what they wanted they suggested their homemade chicken nuggets and chips, they were tasty (as we of course had to taste test!) Hopefully we will be back once in the area.

Sat out side due to currant regulations🙄 the out side was luxurious and had a heater. So quite toastie. The food was good. I am a coeliac and they could accommodate me one of our party was a vegetarian and he had choices too. The service was good and fast so we won't sat around out side for long. Definitely go again and would recommend them ... Sarah dunbar

Lovely country pub, great food, great service.

This a fabulous place. Quiet, careful and superb cooking. They will also do takeaways if you prefer. For a first time out my friend and I felt very safe.

Food was excellent and Staff was nice and friendly

Couldn't believe how good the food is here! We had pheasant and a burger and our wee one had fish fingers that were made from fresh fish. It was all outstanding. The service was lovely and friendly too, she helped fix things for our rather unsettled 5 yr old :) will certainly be back!!
