The most magical babymoon trip!We are just back from a two night stay at The Weir lodge and it was simply magical. The attention to detail and setting of each lodge is beautiful and you feel at peace straight away. From the minute we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and each staff member were so kind and took the time to stop and chat.We were kindly shown to our lodge by following the mini bus and received a little food welcome package, Prosecco in the fridge and some milk - lovely little touch. The welcome letter and pack were really helpful and covered everything! The lodge was spotless and we were blessed with beautiful weather for the two days.On-site you can find a play barn which was perfect for our 21 month old! You also receive a complimentary pass for all guests when staying in the lodge which is great. The swimming pool was beautiful and the little kids section is a bonus - our son loved every second. We had some lunch at The Orangery on arrival which is spacious and well maintained with the food being absolutely fine. The only problem we had was with the smoothie which arrived lukewarm and not the best! The staff were great at taking it off the bill so no issues overall.Once our second little one arrives we will 100% be booking another trip as it is the perfect place for families! We were truly sad to leave as we could have easily spent a few more nights in the lodge. Thank you for such a special and memorable trip!!

We found out about the Whitekirk Hill while staying in Dunbar. We were looking for something new to entertain our four-year-old boy. He loved his session at the play barn, and so did we. It became one of our favourite "play park", and we happily drove 45 minutes from Edinburgh to come back. We love the concept, lots of sensory play, wooden toys, building blocks space, a great slide, reading nooks and even a little spot outdoor. Important to mention that the coffee is delicious, always a plus for the grown-ups.We tried the restaurant next to the Play Barn, and we were disappointed to be honest. The food was okay but pricey and pub menu style. We booked a table as we read great reviews and saw some lovely photos on other google reviews. We were hoping for a menu with creative food options. However, I think we got unlucky and did not have access to the same menu. It was mainly burgers, sandwiches and toasties. We visited on a Sunday for lunch. We will come back for the Play Barn but not for the restaurant.

What a wonderful place in the middle of nowhere! Every single member of the staff I have had conversation with were warm, polite, professional and despite having masks, I could tell that they were smiling. Great asset to Whitkirk Hill. Spacious, very clean, excellent presentation skills on the food being served. We eat with our eyes. I would highly recommend for any occasion.

Visited today after looking forward to it for some time and what a disappointment! Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that it was drinks & cake only, but as we were waiting (quite some time) to be served and get drinks etc atleast 3 tables arrived and had menus for food and then had ordered lunch. The only good thing was the cake. The service was very slow, which i understand if its busy but a few tables had left and I just felt the overall experience was a disappointment.

Lovely setting. Staff in both Spa and restaurant were helpful and very pleasant. Food was plentiful and very good. Only downside for me was the time it took for the food to come to the table which was possibly due to short staffing, maybe Covid problems. I would recommend and will visit again.

Love visiting here with the kids. A great place for young kids to play, indoors and feels fresh and clean, and my children love it. Lovely and light inside, good range of food as well if the kids stop long enough for a treat!

The fresh food is of quality, the coffee unfortunately not good is from the burnt aftertaste, unfortunately the service was not attentive , having asked for coffee and cakes we were served coffee but not the cakes, they had forgotten. The tables were well cleaned, but the floor in some places had liquid that was not dried, for and that I walk with crutches could be a bit dangerous, but even for those who walk normally it could be the cause of falls

Lovely setting & friendly staff. The gravel in the parking area made pushing a wheel chair extremely difficult & uncomfortable for the wheel chair user. Automatic doors at entrance but then push doors entering building . To open was very difficult & no assistance offered.

Just back from 3 nights staying at one of the wonderful Lodges with friends. Lodges were great, fully equipped for everything you could think of. Shame Orangery was closed as looks great but everyone super helpful and transported us to local restaurants. Arlene and all the girls in reception were simply fab and treatments were some of the best we’ve all had - a huge shout out to the therapists. Itv was a truly memorable experience. Simply fab weekend and we’ll def be back.
