Popped in to see Teddy and dot as was passing through ,invited me and the missus in for a cuppa while we waited for hospital appointment fed us and watered us till our appointment then Teddy drove us down to hospital and brought us back to our car.you can't buy that kind of hospitality nowadays, that's why we book every year to visit Edinburgh and stay at the aaron Lodge, fantastic hosts and 5 star hotel

The lodge was beautiful and so clean. The staff and owners were lovely ...... the room was sufficient for what we needed and the breakfast was lovely .....Only downside was they were quick to remove your plate at breakfast and the times were only from 730am-830am. Would have been good if it was 8-10am.... but other than that this was the only little thing I’d have to complain about .. but it’s more of an observation .

Spotless, excellent hosts, very tasty breakfast. Ideally placed for both Royal Infirmary Edinburgh and only short bus ride from town. Would definitely recommend. No negatives.

Dot and Ted clearly love being hosts and this comes through in their attention to detail. On arrival Dot was there to greet us, show us to our splendid room and explain where everything was-times of breakfast, doorcodes etc. We were more than happy with ourroom. A working bed, with bedside tables lamps etc. A desk with a folder of things to do in Edinburgh. Lovely bathroom with complimentary products .Everywhere was exceptionally clean and tidy.

The guest house was clean, but the major gripe was the breakfast. 7.30 to 8.30 at the weekend come on.So i was woken before 6 by the people in the next room having a shower and then I fell asleep again when I woke up it was 8.30 so I got quickly dressed and was down in the dinning room for 8.35 to be told that breakfast was finished. So to that end I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else. We were told that the early breakfast was to suit the hospital workers staying there. Although I suspect it was to suit the owners of the guest house. Its the only place I've been where the breakfast finishes so early.I work shifts so I like a lie in for a short while at the weekend so if you're like me this place is no use for you, paid for a breakfast and didn't get one.

Lovely, spacious room. Shower excellent and roomy, plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed, slept really well. Breakfast good. Excellent location, just a fair bit of traffic noise which started early and finished late. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely welcome, went on our touring bike and straight away we were offered it to be put away in the garage. Beautiful clean room, spotless actually, good breakfast ( only point there is I'd have preferred a later time for breakfast, personal preference though). Very friendly and helpful owners would recommend 100%.

What an absolutely lovely couple. We felt welcome from the time that my husband and I walked into the Guest House. I celebrated my 50th birthday there and they made it even more special with a lovely bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room on our return from breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend their guest house, it is clean and modern and not far at all from the local amenities. There is a bus stop just to the right of the guest house and the buses are very regular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ted and Dot they helped make our time in Edinburgh even more special.
