Alba Homebrew in Edinburgh

The client service was okay, very simple menu but I have to say that the food wasn't good enough. We ordered a pizza (we thought it was a safe choice) and it looked like a Tesco frozen pizza... I hope they change their menu because they have a good location and it is a nice place

Served an absolutely fine breakfast. Can't complain about anything really. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were okay. Not overly concerned with the patrons.We came in at a very quiet time and so were served quickly as a group of six. Probably wouldn't go here again, it was 100% okay. No complaints, but nothing to praise.

I'm sorry to give only one star but I have to say that it was not eatable. The maccaroni and cheese just immerged into fat. The fries and nuggests were just frozen food.The tables sticked. Plus, you could be more welcoming. I would not recommand this place.

The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The sandwich is empty and small for the price. Minus: we were with a baby, we were seated at a table at the entrance, it was uncomfortable and cold.

Nice hole in the wall bistro. We had Steak Pie with Mash and gravy and it was good. We actually didn't expect too much coz of the bad reviews but we had a good experience.Sadly, the whole nation is on covid protocol and staff didn't wear face masks.

Surprised at the poor reviews. Visited this place this morning for breakfast. My partner had a Scottish breakfast, I had an omelette, both of which were really tasty, and a pot of tea for two which was plentiful and good value. Service was attentive. Only small negative was that none of the staff seemed to be wearing face coverings.

Cant really fault the place. Came here for brunch on new years day. Food came out really quickly and was hot and tasty. The staff were attentive and the food was good considering the price. Nice ambience inside and it was clean. I was a little sceptical after reading other reviews but honestly didn't find anything wrong with my visit and would come back again if I was in the area. Doesnt quite get 5 stars as there was nothing absolutely outstanding about it, but if you want a decent little cafe in the area then I'd recommend.

I do not advice this place. I feel like my food has been cooked in a microwave. There are much better places all around Edinburgh

We were rudely told there was no space the minute we walked in despite the fact that there were lots of empty tables. When we were finally seated and tried to ask a question, wait staff said they were busy and we could "either wait or leave". Life is too short. Vote with your wallet and take your money elsewhere.It's a shame Google doesn't allow half stars.

The tables were sticky. I ordered a BLT. It smelled disgusting and without a doubt the bacon was off so didn’t eat-was still charged for it though with no apology!1 star as my son enjoyed his ice cream.
