I would give ZERO star if I could. The service has been VERY slow, 20 minutes for a whisky, the waitress didn't even put my order through after 20 minutes. 10 minutes to get the bill, other tables paid for their bill while I am just sitting at the table waiting for them to bring the bloody card machine. Incredibly slow and it is not even busy, 4 tables are empty... If you say you are busy and you cannot give a card machine within 5 minutes of producing the bill, you are not good enough for this industry.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Drinks were nice and overall atmosphere pleasing. However, big let down with the food. Clearly low standards and unexpected. Meat overcooked and chewy veggies, dessert almost tasteless. Big disappointment.

Bit chaotic and very slow service. Started of bread and oil was really poor but the main was fine. We wouldn't go back - service was the main let down, we had to repeatedly ask for our drinks and they arrived after our starter. Not impressed.

Very average bar. Overpriced cocktails that didn’t seem to have much effort put into them. Pint of beer tasted stale. Also refused to take cash as form of payment. Would avoid in future.

We booked a table for pre-late lunch / early dinner drinks.Arrived at 12:30 after a stroll around the shops.Friendly welcome, and given the seat of our choice as we were the first customers.The surroundings & decor are very nice, albeit we can't comment on atmosphere for the aforesaid reasons.We spent just a little over our 2 hours there as there were only an additional 3 couple's. Service was very attentive throughout.One cocktail, a large sauvignon, 2 & half pints and two malts. The final bill + gratuity came to £42. (Very reasonable in the capital.)A lovely experience & we would definitely book again when visiting Edinburgh.
