Anima in Edinburgh

Had 2 delicious, hot pizza's. Wild mushrooms superb. Had a small issue with owner a couple of years ago when I complained about a cold pizza and felt was handled badly but glad I gave it another chance. If only my complaint had been dealt with better I wouldn't have left it so long.

We ordered 2 pizzas from menu. The website allowed us to change the set toppings (my kids won't eat mushrooms..). Pizzas arrived quickly. The sourdough base is excellent. Toppings were fresh and tasty. The sausage was delicious. Price is very reasonable too. All in all, fantastic pizzas and fantastic service at a reasonable price. Truly the best pizzas we ever ate!!

Pizzas were good. Restaurant style. Good quality ingredients. Fries were not good. Too salty.

First time ordering from here tonight for collection and was not disappointed! Food was amazing, especially the pizzas and all professionally packed. Staff were lovely, big thank you to Rachel for being so friendly and taking time to make recommendations. We will definitely order again x

Spaghetti CarbonaraLittle main ingredients (onion and pancetta) and no parmesan cheese at all. Left the dish tasteless and despite arriving 3 minutes before I was due to collect it, it was a stodgy mess. A restaurant with a good reputation, maybe just not this dish. M&S would be a far better option.

Delivered on time and absolutely delicious. Parents had the sage & onion fish and were very impressed. And I had, hands down, the best Chip Shop haggis I've ever tasted. Will be ordering from these guys again. And again.

Simple Italian take ways. Value for money as well. Busy at lunch time as it's very popular with office workers!

Great for Italian pastas, but not the best. The location, staff and cleanliness of the place is spot on! Had the Terreno with seasonal wild mushrooms and parmesan and was good but lack seasoning. A good portion size for one person and reasonably priced at that.

My wife and I are from the Chicago area and travel to Britain very often as we have lots of friends and relatives there. We stumbled upon Anima a few years ago and gave it a try. First of all, the place is VERY clean.....even immaculate. The selection and quality of the food is also superb. We now go back to this fine establishment every time we visit Edinburgh! Awesome food and great, friendly people working there make Anima an excellent place to eat!

Probably the best pizza place in town!! Most places i have been to make me feel very bloated after having their pizza, but Anima's pizza was delicous and not heavy on the stomach. Also the service and welcoming smile from the staff and Gino himself always makes me feel happy to go back.
