Apiary Restaurant in Edinburgh

Over the moon with our spontaneous visit to Apiary. Extremely friendly welcome to match the quality of the food and wine that followed. Nice touch to be offered the choice of a carafe of wine to wrap up our evening (why do so few UK restaurants not offer better wine options beyond full bottle or expensive glasses?). Will certainly be back before too long!

What a fabulous find! We hadn't booked, but got a lovely warm welcome. Very professional and friendly staff and the food was amazing. The pork belly and dauphinoise potatoes are highly recommended -seriously good food. Lovely cosy atmosphere, too. We will certainly be back.

One of the best local restaurants in Edinburgh. Original and inventive menu. Great space in the 'ex-bank' tradition with friendly and helpful staff.

10/10, excellent food, delightful staff and a well thought out wine list. And we snagged the recipe for the famous feta dip!

Staff are very friendly had a lovely late lunch. They accepted us even though we were quite near closing time. Nice food and atmosphere.

Wow, what an amazing place. As a Coeliac I've never been treated better and given such a wide variety of Gluten Free food to eat. There's no gluten in the kitchen! It's all so safe from contamination and the food was delicious. If you're in Edinburgh definitely make the effort to go and support these kind folks.

Probably the best brunch in Edinburgh. Staff is always super polite and helpful, and the atmosphere couldn't be more relaxed. Love this place.

This is an outstanding restaurant. I rarely post reviews but our wonderful experience this evening has been enough to make me do so. The menu has been created with real flair and a deep understanding of flavours. The scallops with crispy prosciutto were an amazing start. Although I'm a proud carnivore I opted for the vegan squash with pickled apple and toasted coconut. This was divine. Not enough to convert me from my meat eating ways, but I'm so glad i chose. It. The house wine was excellent. I just wish we could move this restaurant to my home town. A real gem.

Food and service were great. Would give 4.5 stars if possible. The seasoning of some of the food, which is maybe personal taste, would have made a 5 star for me. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly.
