Artisan Roast in Edinburgh

I pop in here a few times a week, and their brilliant staff never fail to brighten my day. The coffee is the best I’ve had in Edinburgh by a country mile, and the prices are still reasonable. Keep doing what you are doing, because it’s perfect.

Consistently great customer service and coffee in my experience. I go weekly here to buy their excellent coffee beans and always get an excellent cup of coffee with very helpful staff to assist.

A wonderful space to just sit back and think about the day ahead, or even the day behind.I ordered one oat milk latte and a cold brew. The cold brew was refreshing, so tasty - like fresh tomato leaves! So strange to find in a coffee of I was really impressed.I bought some of their carefully selected beans and I really really enjoyed them, too. I am certainly going to be getting more in the near future.If you ever need a cafe to visit while you're in Edinburgh then you're in luck! They have the best, and Artisan Roast is at the very top.Can't wait to visit again soon!

Coffee Nerds drink your heart out. Lots of lovely coffee at great prices. The Baristas here really know their stuff and are extremely passionate about their craft. Good place to stop by, away from the bustle of the high street and enjoy a genuinely good coffee like a local.

Lovely cafe & coffee specialists set back from the busy part of town. Cute seating area at the back with a log burner. Really friendly service. Tasty, short flat white but the milk needed warming a little more. Limited food. Would recommend this place for the coffee

Great cup of coffee. Steven and Hannah were super friendly to my fiancee and I as tourists, and gave us many excellent recommendations. They even gave us a complimentary tasting of a new espresso roast they were experimenting with.

First visited this place years ago when I lived in Edinburgh and it has always been my go to for good quality coffee. Recently I've been working in Edinburgh and popped back to AR three times in the last month for my caffeine fix and have been blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff have been. The coffee is if anything, even better than a decade ago when I was a regular. Highly recommend.

My favourite coffee shop in Edinburgh by far! lovely coffee and even better service, always makes my day when I go there. Could not recommend enough!!! Just bought some beans from there so I can enjoy some artisan roast coffee every morning! If you're going to visit an artisan roast, make sure it's the one in New Town :))

Their Sumatra is very good, I make it french press; dark roast is dark but not Spanish dark roast, it is a heavy, thick taste but has a bit of zesty flavour(but no sweetness) and is priced very well and I really enjoyed it. The Salvador beans are relatively light and were very strong in the zesty direction which I don't like but definitely could be enjoyable for the right drinker. If you mix the two and add something sweet like Brazilian Santos etc., then you really have a well rounded flavour profile, in all directions. The lady owner was nice too and gave me a free cup of coffee as they were closing soon and I had a chat with a customer briefly who was a cool guy too. I recommend visiting and trying the coffee, talking to people over there too. If I lived in Edinburgh I'd definitely come through every now and then and have a chat with the owner or the customers and buy some beans.

Amazing coffee, amazing service. Perfect sunny patch in a window seat to curl up and read in like a cat - and to then be handed a perfect flat white with cat art - couldn’t ask for more! Thanks Steven and Kelsey!
