Great location on the Grass Market. Ideal to stop and have something to eat or drink as you explore this beautiful city. The staff were friendly and the service good. You could sit outside and enjoy the bustle of the Grass Market area.

Hardly 60gms of lamb for 15 quids, what you see in the photo is all the lamb that you get, I left the place hungry. After complaining the chef said that all the portions are the same, I think they survive serving drinks to students.

We had been here often when we lived in Edinburgh, but it seems even better after 10yrs away. Great cooked brekky (8am till 12pm). super lovely staff. and the singer who was here on the Sat night was excellent. A touch of Ireland in the heart of Edinburgh so best of both worlds. x

Great wee bar , attached to the Grassmarket Hotel where I was staying so just a quick elevator down for a drink. Food served here also which was nice. Live entertainment when I was here on a Thursday night which was really good , can't beat a live singer and guitarist in such a lovely wee irish pub . 👍🏻

It was difficult to find a place to have a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning. We checked few places, some were not open even Google maps and Trip advisor were showing those were opened. Run away from some smoky and grim places. After a while we decided that we are too hungry to wander around and we choose Biddy as we were passing by and saw they are serving cooked breafast. Big mistake. The place looked tired and cleaning was not good at all. I will just mention rusty can with a cutlery and napkins. Staff didn't ask if I have any food preferences or if I am allergic to something. I ordered full Scottish breakfast without black pudding (do not eat it). Plate came with black pudding on it. Fried egg was cold, looks like it was pre cooked and kept ambient. Bacon looked pre cooked and reheated for too long as it was too dry. Late coffe...don't even know how to describe that. Nobody checked our table but 10% service charge was included, cannot understand for what.Unfortunately this pandemic situation affected hospitality a lot. Looks like there is no competition anymore but businesses try to survive cutting costs. However, there must be a limit for or that and basic minimum met, clean place, hot and fresh prepared food with a staff who cares for guests.

I had great Eggs Benedict, including my first experience with haggis — I liked the haggis, so I don’t know if it was good or bad 😅. My girlfriend had avocado toast with poached eggs that were just too raw, and the smashed avocado was more guacamole-like. The tea was seemingly free, which we appreciated. Three to four stars.

Walked in and were completely ignored, unfriendly atmosphere. we asked for a drinks menu and took our time choosing something we hadn’t had before only to be told after that by the bartender that the “cocktails are off” we then had some unfriendly people sat with us at which point we got up and left. Disappointed

went in for a wee drink with my brother and sister. very pleasant experience. the staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was great .if there was music playing it was at a level that you did not have to shout. which is great , nothing worse than not being able to hear what is being said. definitely be back.

Decent place! Although one of the bar guys was quite visibly drunk or otherwise intoxicated (wearing a mask with a galaxy design on 24/9/21) so took ages to make our drinks because he kept forgetting what we'd said. Also pretty illegal to be doing that. Other than that a super cool place with excellent live acoustic music and a good vibe!
