I stayed for one night only during my first time in Edinburg! The hotel is really nice and in front of a park, so in a lovely area (but tiny bit far from the city centre/train station = 30min walk 20min+ bus). The atmosphere was charming and we wished we had more time to enjoy the bar, restaurant area and the outside terrace. The room was spacious and tidy.I forgot x3 necklaces in the room, special shout out to Martin for replying to me super fast, finding then and keeping them safe. As well, thanks to Katie for posting them back to me! So happy to have them back!SUPER HONEST AND KIND STAFF ❤️I don’t have a picture of the room but of the bar and park in front!

Great venue , great atmosphere from an older crowd served by students and a young management team. Food & selection of drinks are good but it’s very expensive with 10% added to the bill. Can’t go wrong to impress friends on their first visit with a hotel incorporated adding to the glam !

Went to the restaurant for work night out. Every table full, yet not feeling crowded. Food was great! Burger was thick and juicy and the pudding far larger than expected! Nobody had any complaints! Come hungry!

Nice hotel but slightly confusing layout. We went to what looked like the hotel side but had to walk through the restaurant to check in at what looked like the restaurant desk to then walk back through the restaurant to the place we first arrived at. That's my only complaint.Otherwise, lovely location, nice views of Bruntsfield Park and free weekend parking is ideal for a one night stay.Wish I had time to visit the restaurant or have a drink. The outdoor area looks lovely with heaters and blankets for the cooler evenings.

I visited for the first time since the hotel was renovated, with my wife and another couple. We had lunch, which was pretty good. The first table we had was beside a noisy group, so on request we were moved to a quieter spot with no fuss. The space is bright and has been really nicely updated, the food was good, and the service was fast and pleasant, so we were happy, and we will be back.

Decent menu, staff lovely, but very slow with drink service.I don't understand why 2 pints and a gin & tonic takes so long. It's only themselves who are missing out on sales. It wasn't that there wasn't enough staff, just such a delay.Otherwise, no one should be put off by this, the place is fantastically set out, great food and great choice

Wow, what a wonderful find and everything about this place smacks of style, class and quality. The menu had my taste buds tingling and I was not disappointed. The service was exceptional and both the decor and it sounds silly but the cutlery and glassware just felt really nice to hold and use. Stylish, sophisticated and brilliant on every level. Thumbs up everyone👍👍👍

This is a really nice place to go for drinks 🍹The breakfasts have been really good in my experience recently, we have also had a nice lunch midweek and just came for cocktails on the rare occasion that we have found ourselves child free.We have had the Sunday roast in the past and it wasn’t as good as it sounded.roast sirloin was serve medium rare and it wasn’t my favourite. I was warned when I ordered that’s how it would be served so it was served as specified and perhaps opinions will vary. The service is very efficient in here and they take good care of you especially if you have kids with you. It’s a lovely place and reflected in the prices. Perfect for date night.

I was expecting more of this place, the ambiance is great but the food was not as premium as expected. Coffee is definitely not bistro. Staff is very welcoming though.I had smoked salmon and eggs and I have the suspicious that the scrambled eggs were from the hotel complementary breakfast...

Where do I start? The overpriced subpar food? I could have done a better job at home with little effort, I couldn't believe what I saw on the plate: no effort whatsoever, cheap, cold, just outrageous for what they charge. Waitress was completely on a different planet, I had to ask for the right beer to be served twice - clueless. The room? A tiny room (£75 p/night). Walls are paper thin, you can hear absolutely everything next to your room. The golden nugget was the lack of heating in the bathroom! They only had a towel rack which was supposed to work as heating but was so old that it wasn't working at all. A huge window in the bathroom (no double glazing) with a freezing air draft coming in, how's that for a pleasant evening and a wonderful morning shower? Not recommended at all, you are better off in a hostel which is basically the service and quality you get at this hotel. A total and absolute joke, to be more precise, a rip off.
