TREMENDOUS PANCAKESThis is one of the only cafes in my area that is open at 8am. It's a cozy and friendly cafe. The pancakes were some of the best I've had in Edinburgh! They were light and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness to them. The berries were a great addition to cut through the sweetness of the pancakes.I'm definitely coming back here to try out more of what's on offer!

We had some brilliant lunch food which couldn't be faulted. This should always be your port of call for some scran on your way to or from the Botanic Gardens.

Best pancakes of my life. Gluten free options available and are bloody delicious! Bacon rolls are incredible too. Coffee is incredibly tasty using local roasters artisan roast. Must visit!

Excellent! Simply put. The breakfast pancakes here are superb. Friendly service from a home run cafe/owner. This is well worth the trip. Can't rate highly enough. Don't let anything stop you trying the food here.

Pancakes were amazing! Husband said his bacon butty was great too. Only thing I didn’t like was no plates even to eat in it’s all in throw away packages (recyclable) but maybe that isn’t a problem for you

Calling all Americans!! If you’re craving pancakes that taste like home with American Bacon and Actual Maple Syrup, this is the place!! Big pancakes, crispy bacon and fluffy but perfect consistency pancakes are what they do best. Their scones and brownies can’t go wrong either. Best Prices for the Best Pancakes all in Edinburgh. Highly highly recommend!!

Lady serving was very polite and cheery. Nice wee place on the corner. Cheekily used Tesco car park for access. No orange juice, so just got some San Pellegrino, also got black tea. We got the Nebraska and Vermont pancakes. They were okay, wouldn't say they were the best I've had but they were very tasty. I will be returning to trying out the breakfast burritos. Only downside is the lack of seating area. I guess that it's mostly a takeaway place though.

Really friendly staff here and great options for meat eaters, veggies and vegans alike. Whether you want a quick nibble or a big scottish breakfast this is the place to go. If you're ever in edinburgh definitely check this place out!

Amazing place. It's 10 minutes from the main railway station (bus 8).The ambiance was very inviting and service was great (nice touch: free water!). The menu offers a lot of different choices for breakfast and lunch as well, such as sweet and savory pancakes 🥞 and traditional scottish breakfasts.Food was amazing and prices fair.Coffee isn't their specialty, but overall Bluebird deserves 5 stars.Highly suggested for anyone visiting Edinburgh.
